Ashlynn's POV:

I woke up in a room with the smell of lavenders and fresh cookies. I looked to the side and see a sented candle. Was I dreaming? Someone entered the room and Hunter hugged me. Maybe I wasn't dreaming. "Hunter..? Where am I...?" Hunter let go and looked at his watch. My brain better not be confusing me. This better be real. If it's not. I'll pinch myself.

"Ash, you're in a hospital. I couldn't treat your leg, so the doctors did. I had no choice." I sat up in my bed and Hunter looked in his bag. "Oh, and I was able to get some of these." Hunter took out a bag of cookies and they smelled devine. I grabbed one out and took a small bite.

"Mmm. Hunther, dith you make thish?" I said with a stuffed voice. Hunter nodded his head and took a bite of his cookie too. As we started to make a conversation, a nurse came in with a clipboard. "Okay, Ashlynn. Let's see how you are." Hunter looked at the lady like she was crazy. His face was a 'hurt her, and you'll get messed up' look.

"Okay, Ashlynn. You can go home. So- oh, is this the young gentleman, asscorting you home?" I nodded my head and the nurse left the room. Hunter walked over to me, and kissed my forehead. "Where are we going now, Hunter?" I asked, shyly. "Well.... for once.... I don't know, Ash."

I looked down when something welled inside me. Sadness. Hunter's life was over. My life was over. Worst of all.... Hunter was gonna die. His life was put in danger cause of what I did. I started crying and Hunter looked at me. "Ash, what's wrong. Did I do something? Please tell me, please." I wiped my mascara and looked at Hunter. "Do you wanna go to my home?" He asked. I nodded my head and turned to face him, sitting on the bed.

I hugged him and cried sadly. Hunter pulled the covers off me and helped me put on my pink flats. He pulled his sweater over me and took my hand. I could walk a little, but it would have a limp attached to it.

"You know what, I'll carry you." Hunter said with boldness in his voice. He picked me up and carried me outside.

I thought I saw something behind Hunter.  I couldn't see very well. I still didn't have my glasses. I tapped Hunter's shoulder and he turned around. He could see well. After that, he ran and I held on tight. Hunter runs really fast, and I can never keep up with him. But there were more things I didn't understand. My mother said I was a mistake? A mistake to what? This world, to be alive? Someone tell me. I just need an answer...

Hunter's POV:

I got to my home and brought Ashlynn upstairs. No one was following us, so far. I layed her on my bed and pulled the covers up to her. "You're leaving....?" She asked. "Ashlynn... I don't know. I don't want to leave you here, and I don't want to leave. So, I'm just gonna let you sleep here for a sec. I promise I'll be right here for you. Swear."

I left my room and went downstairs. I brought some food up, and the minute I opened the door, Ashlynn was on the floor. Was she.... shaking? I ran over to Ashlynn leaving the food on the dresser. "Ashlynn! Ashlynn! What happened?" I layed Ashlynn on my bed and tried to find a pulse. There was one on her rist. I put a cold towel on her head, and she quickly fainted. I pulled the covers down and saw something shocking.

"No! No, Ashlynn, no! You can't go! Please, don't leave!" I cried against her and blood smeared on my face. A knife was strucked in her stomach. There still had to be a chance to save her.

I pulled the knife and she felt the pain. Her eyes shot open and she screamed. "Hunter! Stop! What are you doing!" She looked at me like I was crazy. "Saving you!" I pulled the knife put and Ash screamed even more, making her jerk against the floor and slapping me in the face. She looked at herself and saw blood everywhere. I took a stapler and was about to staple Ashlynn, when she pushed me away.

"Hunter, hurry over here next to me." Ashlynn kissed me as best as she could. Fire rushed through me as something sparked in my hand. "You... so that I could, and you'll be, and won't be?" I touched the stab and the fire heeled her wound.

She sat up and I wrapped a bandage around her. "Who did this to you, Ash?" I helped Ashlynn up and she shrugged her shoulders. "I don't exactly know. They banged my head against the wall five times, and I felt like I was gonna die. To be honest, I'm not sure what happened after that... until now."
