Chapter three
(The Plan)
“You know, I always took you for a chocolate lover.” Sarnai commented when I refused to eat the chocolate moose and instead chose vanilla ice cream.
“I do love chocolate. Don't get the wrong idea but today I'm just craving for some vanilla you know. After all, vanilla is the king of all flavours.” I countered.
We three were sitting on my bed eating our desserts even though we were already full and personally I was even feeling bloated. I didn't mind that much because you know what they say ‘there is always room for ice cream’.
“Chocolate is the king of all flavours. Nothing beats chocolate. I can't believe you chose vanilla ice cream over moose.” Cadence backed Sarnai enthusiastically.
I laughed at that and ended up burping quite loudly. “Sorry.”
“Sometimes I feel you were destined to be a man but the Lord changed her mind and made you a woman.” Sarnai said scratching her cheeks.
“So you think women cannot burn?” Cadence’s eyes glazed while she glared at Sarnai challengingly.
“This is going to be fun.” I smirked.
Sarnai rolled her eyes. “No obviously not. It's just that men burp more loudly than women. Women burp with elegance.”
“And our little bloated friend here clearly contradicted it.” She continued.
“Sarnai?” Cadence and me said simultaneously.
“Hmm?”
“Shut up.”
She pouted her lips and made a gesture of zipping her lips.
“Anyway, how is it going with Perry? Any improvement?” Cadence asked.
I recalled the garden incident and smirked.
“What's that smirk supposed to mean? Did you finally meet him?”
“You can say that.” I answered after a few seconds, my smirk growing wider.
Then all of a sudden I had the most brilliant idea. I huddled closer to them and laid out the details of the best plan ever.

“Are you one hundred percent sure that this is safe?” Sarnai’s voice quivered in the darkness. I rolled my eyes. She was the only one in our group who feared darkness. Well, darkness and the thing I had planned to do.
“Don't be such a wuss!” Cadence the momma bit back in response.
We walked along the path inside the Gravel Door and hid behind the bushes closest to their living room. We could hear voices inside. I recognized Mr and Mrs Miller bickering about some stuff. However Perry's voice was missing.
“Maybe he is in his room.” Sarnai spoke out, her voice cutting the silence.
“I asked you to check dipshit, before leaving the room.” Cadence spat back.
“About that. Yeah I forgot.”
“Go and check! What are you waiting here for? For us to kiss you on both cheeks before you leave?” I snickered.
Mumbling incoherently, Sarnai got up and quietly headed back to my house to check.
A few minutes passed and me and Cadence killed time by playing hand cricket. Sarnai returned soon and nodded her head, affirmatively.
