Cameron, Mia, and Evelyn all walked home hand in hand. Cameron decided to take the long way home as to avoid the home that they hated so much.
"Do we have to go back?" Mia asked sadly.
Cameron looked at her and picked up the blonde 5 year old. "I wish we didn't have to, but we have nowhere else to go," she told her.
Cameron set Mia down and held her and Evelyn's hands and squatted to be on their level. "I know it's bad there but we don't have anywhere else to go, and I promise I will get you both out of there somehow, but until then I need you to both to be strong for me, ok?" They nodded in unison
"We love you Cammie," Evelyn said hugging her.
"I love you to," She said kissing them both on the head as they continued walking.
As they were walking Cameron felt Evelyn squeeze her hand she looked down at the brown haired girl next to her knowing that she only did that when she was scared. " What's wrong Evie." Cameron asked her worried. " There's a man following us." Cameron turned around only to see a man dressed in black with a hoodie over his face
She turned around and started walking towards him until they both stopped. " Why are you following us." she asked hiding her sisters behind her. The man in front of her said nothing and handed her a letter she took three envelope hesitantly. " What am I supposed to do with this." " Take it and go home." he finally said. " What do you mean go home?" she said looking down at the letter only to look up and find him gone. She looked around her in shock and confusion. "C'mon let's go home ." she said but still curious as to what the letter may contain.
