SCOTTY, MY BOII.

Scott McCall is such a bean and he's just such a perfectly written character. He has flaws. He's disagreeable and agreeable, he's even a little problematic at times (he judged Stiles for killing someone on ACCIDENT in SELF-DEFENSE, like that's a little problematic).

But honestly, how can anyone not love him. No matter what he went through (and he went through A LOT), he kept his morals.

Yeah, he came so close to killing someone in Season 4 and he almost completely transformed, but he stopped himself. It still changed him.

Scott is a True Alpha. He never let the blood thirst that came with being a werewolf warp his morals or change him. He literally never killed anyone in the show, he never even wanted to kill someone. (Yes, he nearly killed that hunter in season 4, but he stopped. He momentarily lost control, and like discussed, it changed him).

He tried to reason with Deucalion in season 3, when everyone else wanted to kill him and the other Alphas. He rose to power of the Alpha by just his own will. Liam wanted to become a True Alpha, just like Scott, by the end of the series. He was desperate to earn it as he realized that Scott was going to be leaving for college.

Scott was so different from other Alphas in the past, that everyone around him just gravitated toward him. They wanted to learn from him, they were willing to risk their lives to protect him, but they also looked to him for protection.

I mean, if you've seen the show, you know all about Scott McCall.

When writing Scott's character, creating scenes that weren't canon to the show, just stay true to Scott's character. He's funny, naïve at times, loyal, kind, caring, strong, but most importantly — he's flawed. Don't change him for the benefit of making your character look like the hero instead.
