IX. Afterwards

The day after Blair, Mike, Tyler and Eric were sitting in school's cafeteria in complete silence. They were still stressed after yesterday's happening, some more than others. Tyler and Eric were going through today's newspapers as they were searching for story that happened yesterday before their eyes. Mike, who sat at Luke's usual spot saw starring down at his plate moving the food with fork, not feeling hungry. Next to him was Blair, who had visible dark circles under her eyes.

After the scene with Jasper and his family she could not even closed her eyes last night. The moment she finally fell asleep, there he was with his dark eyes glaring at her and making her feel like his next meal. 

Blair knew what is he and his family, but she didn't want to think about anything before everything is confirmed. She hoped Jasper would show up today so they could talk, but there was no sight of him this morning or in History class.

Closing her eyes after the scenes from yesterday visited her mind all over again. Blair placed her face in her palms as she rested her elbows on the top of the table. She looked through her fingers at the table where Jasper usually sits with family. Only this time they were just four of them.

Cullen's quietly whispered among each other not caring about anyone else but Jasper at this moment. They all could only imagine what he felt like, almost hurting someone who means the life to him.

As Rosalie was saying something to her siblings, Edward's head picked up and his eyes connected with Blair's. He froze for a second as Blair was just sitting there looking at him. He listened closely to her thought's but only thing that he could see in her mind was Jasper. Not his thirst for blood, not his murderous look in the eyes. Just Jasper she knew since the first day they talked.

Entering Biology lab, Blair didn't care if he will ignore her or what will professor say. She went straight for Edward's table and sat on free stool next to him. Edward's body stiffened as he already knew what Blair is going to ask.

''I need answers.'' She said the second she sat next to him and placed her bag on the table. Edward closed his eyes before opening them again and looking right in her blue ones.

''I didn't do my homework yesterday.'' He said causing Blair's jaw to clench.

''I'm not talking about fucking homework and you know it!'' She said bitterly.

''I'm not the one who has explanation for you.'' Edward said. He knew that will going to make Blair even more angry, but this is Jasper's mess he never wanted to clean.

''He's not here.''

''Not my problem.'' Said Edward as teacher came in lab. He gave Blair confused look saying why is she sitting next to Mr Cullen. Blair ignored her teacher as she stayed sitting there, glaring at the boy with bronze-brown hair and same angelic golden eyes that hid the devil behind them. 

''He'll come eventually, can't run from you forever.''

''Hey Hargreeves!'' Blue eyed boy called for Blair. Mike and Tyler were exiting the school halls when they noticed Blair, taking stuff from her locker. She was thinking about Jasper and possible reason why he didn't show up in school this morning when Mike's voice brought her back to reality.

''What's up.'' She greeted two friends. When Mike and Tyler stopped in front of her, she shut her locker and was ready for her walk back home.

''We are going to hospital, visiting the dumbass.'' Said Mike smiling as Blair's tired eyes shoved a bit of life in them.
