Where Am I?

The light was bright. I sat up and looked at the clock. The clock must have been wrong, it read 12:31. My alarm should have woken me up. I slumped back down and laid my head on the pillow. It was still throbbing as of yesterday's drinks. Wait. Yesterday. How the hell did I get home? I sat up straight, instantly regretting it, as the pounding in my head quickened, and looked around. On the floor I saw a girl, but I had no idea who she was or how she got there. I tried to get up to get some aspirin, as I gently side stepped her letting her sleep for the time being. My heart fluttered as she stirred, pulling the blanket she had up and turning.

I walked to the kitchen and grabbed an aspirin, swallowing them without water. I brushed my teeth, as my breath reeked of alcohol, and turned on the shower. I turned on the water to its hottest temp as the bathroom started to fog up, I stripped getting rid of my clothes that reeked of alcohol. I got in the shower just as I heard the door open.

"Lukas?" I cussed in my head and peeked out the curtain.

"Oh, hey...you," she smiled and grabbed the edge of her shirt.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, what are you doing?" I asked. She gave me a strange look.

"Getting undressed. What does it look like I'm doing," she asked, hands on her hips.

"Uh-no" I commented back, "I don't even know who you are, and you're trying to get in the shower with me." she sighed and stopped undressing.

"Um, well, that hurts. My name is Kaya, and we met before. Last night," she winked and me and I almost gagged.

"Well, Kaya, nice to meet you. You may leave," I tried to pull the curtain back but she grabbed it.

"Hey, hey, hey, wait a second, no looking," I whined. She rolled her eyes and stepped back.

"I can't believe I slept with a soyboy," she rubbed her hand and stepped back.

"Well that was your choice, and you knew I was drunk, so I had no input in the saying." I said back with a bit of sass.

"Oh, god, what do I tell Peter?" I peeked out of the curtain again, confused.

"Who?"

"My boyfriend," I stared at her.

"You are crazy," I put shampoo in my hair, "please leave my house," she laughed.

"You were really drunk weren't you?" I paused.

"What do you mean?"

"We're at my house,"

No, no, no, no this can't be happening to me," I looked at the shampoo in my hand. Sure enough, it was rose scented. Then it occurred to me, "Where's your boyfriend" I somehow got out in a worried voice.

"Probably out. He'll be back soon. Don't use all of my shampoo. That shit is expensive," she started getting undressed again. I turned off the water in a hurry and grabbed a towel, almost tripping and getting out of the tub.

"At least wait until I get out of here to start your shower" I begged. She shrugged as if it was no big deal and I darted out of the bathroom, back to her room, and slipped back into my clothing. I grabbed my sweatshirt, wallet, and shoes and tried to run out the door only to run into Kaya, who was leaning on the wall, hair wet from her shower. That's when I heard the rumble of a truck pull in the driveway, and then somebody yell "Whose vehicle is this, Kaya?". Then the door opened and just as quickly it slammed shut with a crash. I opened the closet door and slipped into it, closing it behind me. I pressed my ear to the door.

"What do you mean, Peter?" Kaya asked, her voice now light and seductive. I silently gagged.

"The car in the front?" he asked. Kaya laughed.

"That's a friend of mines. It broke down near here yesterday and I let him keep it here," Peter sighed.

"Where is this friend,"

"Somewhere here. I'll go find him, go settle down in the living room," Peter sighed and listened.I then heard the creek of floor boards as Peter walked into the living room, and then the door flung open. Kaya stood there with her hand on the door knob, and said "Well what are you waiting for, you have a guy to meet." she paused, "and by the way, that's a realistic hiding place for you. I'm glad you came out of the closet," I rolled my eyes and followed her to what I assumed was the living room. Peter glared at me.

"It's a dude?" he asked. Kaya laughed.

"Don't worry Peter. He was in the closet up until a little while ago," I wanted to strangle her so bad, but instead, I shook Peter's hand.

"I've never seen you around here before. How long have you known Kaya?"

"Not long, only a month or two?" I said nervously. Then he asked me the question I wasn't expecting.

"If you were in the closet until a little while ago, what made you come out to Kaya?" I winced.

"Well, you see, I shouldn't be the one to tell you this, but it was because Kaya said something really interesting to me last night. She was drunk and it slipped out, but she confirmed it to me this morning," Peter tilted his head, "she came out as a lesbian to me this morning,"" Kaya's mouth dropped and Peter 's jaw was literally on the floor.

"What. The. Fuck." I got up, dusting myself off.

"I'm just gonna leave. My car should start after a long night's rest, and it seems you guys have a lot to talk about, oh and Peter if you ever want to get together, Kaya has my number." That's when I closed the door.
