The Start of a New Family

Today was one of the most important days of the year, Christmas. Also, Viktor Nikiforov's birthday. As he was turning 29. There were only a few people at his apartment in Saint Petersburg, Russia. His husband, Yuri, His parents, Karl and Zinovia usually called Zinny. His older brother, Gennadi, older brother's fiancé, Majid Abbasi. And Yurio because he wanted to give him something very special for a while now, the adoption papers signed by him. Yuri and Viktor had been trying to adopt him for a while now. But Yurio, being the stubborn ass he is, refused to sign them. But he thought about it and decided to do it.

When Yurio was having trouble with Otabek, his boyfriend, he would swallow his pride and ask Yuri and Viktor for some advice. They offered some and Yurio took it and that was when he knew they were parental figures to him. So, he signed them without Viktor knowing so it could be his present. Everyone had given theirs to him expect Yurio. His brother had a book on how to be less oblivious. His mother had gotten him a new ice skater outfit for next season(since she's a retired ice skater)

That she wore in her ice skating days, it also could be worn by both male and female ice skaters. His father got him a book on how to be more considerate of other people's feelings. Majid got him a green wristlet with a crescent moon with one star, the symbol of Islam. He gave that to him because "To represent that I will always be here if you need me. Even if we're not that close as you are with your family or husband." the silver-haired man responded, "Ah nonsense, you are family! You are marrying my brother, are you not?" The Muslim ice skater nodded, "Well yes. But you are my competition too along with Yuri and Yurio." Yuri got him a recipe to make every Japanese he likes.

And Yurio finally went up and gave him the rectangular wrapped box. Viktor untied the bow and opened the gift to find papers, the adoption ones. He looks through them and found Yurio's signature on it. Seeing that he has agreed for the 2 ice skaters to adopt him. Everyone was so shocked but happy. They all went in a big hug to welcome the new member of their pack. All very ecstatic and delighted.
