Mirage drove along the road, silent. He hadn't alerted Optimus either.

Not yet.

He had to be sure the child wasn't lying. Mirage transformed soon and began walking around the snow, not wanting to be vulnerable in his alt mode. He took out his arm blades for protection, looking around as he began going to the mountains like the human girl said.

He couldn't see much as it was still early morning but thanks to his training, he could sniff out any spilled energon nearby. The red bot frowned, furrowing his optic ridges.

Everything was covered in the scent of trees, water, and animals.

There was nothing here.

But Mirage couldn't be too sure.

He wandered in circles for hours in the never ending snowy forest.

...

Starscream groaned as he came to, rubbing his helm. His optics onlined and he looked to a large dark figure with piercing red optics. His own optics widened, surprised before they narrowed in caution.

"Who are you? Release me from these chains!" Starscream ordered but got only a dark chuckle of amusement. The seeker growled, tugging at the chains that bound him to a mountain side.

"I do not answer to you." The figure spoke firmly, amusement still in his voice.

"I am Lord Starscream, leader of the Decepticons and I command you let-!" His throat was suddenly grabbed in a tight grip making his voice cut off and gasp for words. In the dim moonlight, a face was barely seen. Starscream struggled to see who it was. "Blackout!?" The seeker managed to squeak out.

"Shockwave sent me after you." The black mech smirked. "He was given word you were going to stop Megatrons resurrection. I was ordered to kill you." Blackout chuckled, grinning as he let go of his throat. Starscream glared at him.

"I am going to save our former leader you idoit!"

"Yeah right. You were on your way to stop it and we all know it. Soundwave is dealing with Barricade this very moment." Blackout smirked.

"Then why did you not kill me already?" Starscream growled, snarling.

"Oh you know the reason Starscream. It is always more fun to torture the prisoner of a Decepticon." Blackout chuckled and punched the mech in the abdomen with his blade.

The screamed echoed throughout the mountains.

Starscreams gasped, his abdomen bleeding terribly as the blade was shoved out of his stomach. "You...don't need...to do this..." he panted, his systems in terrible pain.

"And why not?" Blackout asked with an impatient growl.

"Because...as soon as...Shockwave realizes you failed...you will offline none too quickly." Starscream smirked and before the black mech could do anything, Starscream head butted him and grabbed his blade that dropped into the snow with his pedes. He threw it up and caught it with his mouth, cursing as it cut his cheek. He swiped it at the chains and was freed.

Blackout stumbled back in surprise, shocked. Starscream took the blade out of his mouth, holding his wound with his other servo. He lifted the blade and stabbed the mechs shoulder before sprinting away.

...

Mirage soon found himself at a highway near a town and sighed, seeing he had somehow left the mountains without him realizing it. The sun was coming up and he transformed, not wanting to be seen. He began traveling down the road, comming Optimus Prime.

::Mirage?::

::It's Dino, sir.:: The red mech reminded, grumbling. He was annoyed many bots forgot the name. He changed it after Jazzs death.

::Yes, I apologize. What do you need?::

::I have the information required. I'm returning.:: Mirage informed him.

::Understood. Drive safe, soldier.:: Optimus told him sternly before the comm ended.
