*zach's POV*
i get out of bed and go to the living room. i see daniel sitting on the couch on his phone next to jack laughing at some video.

i walk up to him and tap his shoulder, he looks up at me with an confused face. "what's up herron?" he says calmly.

i clench my fists before punch him, i then throw a punch at him, i keep on hitting him.

i can see the blood on my fists, the boys try to pull me away but my grip is too tight.

this is what happens when i'm mad. i lose control. he hurt me and marla.

no one hurts me and marla.

the boys finally get me off of him, "are you crazy!?" jonah yells at me. "no! do you know what this jackass did?!" i say to him.

"that doesn't give you a reason to almost kill him! someone call marla tell her to pick him up right now." jonah says.

corbyn runs to his phone and jack stands there in shock. daniel tries to get up but he can't, he has blood all over his face. he looks so weak and defenseless.

what did i do?

jonah takes me into the bathroom and cleans my fists off, "a-are you okay?" he asks nervously. "i guess," i say. "never do that again herron, you're like my little brother, seeing you like that scared the hell out of me" he says.

marla then storms into the bathroom, she pushes jonah out of the way and hugs me. "zach, w-why?" she says almost crying.

she pulls away and looks at my fists, "you should've have done that, he could've died, i didn't know you were this angry zach," she says concerned.

"i'm fine, he's fine, i lashed out okay?" i say rolling my eyes.

"i-i can't right now" she says backing away from me, "i'll be in your room" she says before walking out crying.

jonah gives me a concerned look, "see, she's terrified zach, you have to be her peace, comfort her without defending her this way" he says.

i say nothing and stare at the ground, he continues to clean up my fists and he puts a bandage around them.

"go talk to marla," he says when he's done, i nod and head to my room.

i walk into the room and she looks up at me. "zach i'm not mad at you okay?"she says standing up. "you just didn't have to do this" she says.

she places her lips onto mine, i really needed a kiss right now.

we pull away, "i'm sorry marla, i didn't want you to see me like this, i just wanted to protect you i was so mad," i say.

"you don't need to protect me from dumb shit like this, i'm fine okay?" she says smiling a little.

"i love you catherine," i say smiling, "i love you herron" she says.
