I smiled brightly as Jackson threw his weight on me and laughed. "GOTCHU!" I smiled and shoved him off and got to my feet. We smiled at each other then heard a nock on the door. We both looked at each other and frowned, my mom came and opened the door and we all went outside.
Jackson stood next to his mom, she turned to leave but I snapped up and walked up to Jackson. "I got a secret." I planted a light kiss on his cheek and he blushed. I blushed and our parents smiled. I said bye and went back inside and got ready for bed, exited for tomorrow when he came back.
After months of him coming over and leaving with a kiss from me, it was The Forth Of July. My dad came home and I gave him a big hug and he left to get fire works. We set a fire pit outside with fire wood.
Soon, Jackson came over, then Cash and Abby and we got our bikes. We rode around in the circle, talking and racing. When the sky got dark, we set down the tail gates of the trucks and the kids piled in one and the other piled with adults. We got the basketball hoop out and a ball and played basketball.
Soon my dad got back and handed us sparklers and went to Jackson's house to talk. We wrote words with the smoke until they died and we put them in water. We watched my dad set off the fire works and had s'mores.
I watched as the last firework streaked into the air, I had my hand on Jackson's and we watched in sync. It exploded in the dark sky, lighting it up with red. It formed a sort of heart shape and fell apart down the middle like a crack and vanished. Me and Jackson smiled at each other. "Let's go swimming!" He suggested. We all smiled and ran into our houses to get out suites on.
I ran across the street to Jackson's house and went through the gate to the back yard. The pool was lit up with a colorful pool light that span around. The back yard was also lit with Tiki lights and fariy lights on the crisscross fence mount Kenny made, I jumped in and we splashed each other. I jumped on a raft and Kenny picked it up and threw it to the other side of the pool. I laughed and saw Jackson on the roof, jumping into the pool. Soon we all were.
Then, a flash of red and white lights and sirens set shivers through us all. We all got silent and at the sight of a fire truck parked out front, we panicked. We hid under the rafts and stayed silent. Finally it left and everyone went home except me.
I was aloud to spend the night. We got dressed for bed and we both shared the top bunk. I was taller than Jackson so I curled around him and kissed him on the cheek.
