"You look gorgeous, Cas." Timothée told Cassie on a moonlit night as they walked through downtown. "And you'll look amazing for homecoming. Mark my words!" He exclaimed, squeezing her hand.
She grinned widely, "Thank you. You're too sweet to me, T."
Timothée gasped, "That shouldn't be a problem!"
Cassie shook her head from how unaware he was of his surroundings, "You idiot, I was joking. I love you and how you inflate my ego. Makes me feel wonderful."
"Ah, the real reason I'm still around." He replied with pursed lips.
They rounded the corner and found their bikes. Both of them mounted their bikes and began biking back home. "You make me feel like so much more than I am. It weirds me out, Tim. Never in a bad way. Just surprising." Cassie told him as they biked side by side.
"Oh. That makes sense."
"I hope so. It's complicated to discuss something I don't know how to put in exact words. But enough of this deep shit, I'm gonna reach my house before you!" She began to pedal faster, weaving around cars and traffic, speeding through neighborhood streets and scaring away squirrels. All Timothée could do is laugh and watch his love go. He started to pedal faster, but knew he wouldn't reach her.

They slumped down on her couch once they got home. "I am exhausted."
"What you deserve after you made me bike a marathon to catch up with you." Timothée laughed. He propped his head up on one arm and pulled Cassie closer.
"You need the exercise, Tim. You never keep up with me anymore." Cassie giggled.
"Are you shaming me?"
"No, of course not. I just love giving you shit." She replied with a wide smile. "You always make a face when you're angry. It's funny."
"Delightful." Timothée yawned. "Do you think my parents would be mad if I said I 'fell asleep' on your couch?"
"Maybe not if I send photographic proof."
He sat up, "Do it."
Timothée and Cassie posed his body as if he had fallen asleep by accident, and then Cassie texted it to his mother at eleven p.m. with the caption. "We got back from downtown only twenty minutes ago and now he fell asleep on my couch. Do you want me to wake him or should he just stay here?"
"I think the fact you sound annoyed with it makes it sound more realistic." Timothée said over Cassie's shoulder.
"Totally." She replied sarcastically and waited for his mom to respond. Her phone buzzed shortly after.
"He can stay. You should go to bed too so your mom isn't angry! Love you and make sure he doesn't sleep in until noon tomorrow." Cassie read aloud and high-fived Timothée.
"By the way, where is your mom?" He asked.
"She's at a meeting in Chicago right now. She'll be back in two days... So Sunday?"
"Yeah. I know she wants to have dinner with you again. Maybe if you bring the rest of your family as well?"
"Of course I will." He laughed.
Cassie and Timothée's parents loved each other, but because of age and now conflicting schedules, they seldom saw each other except for when their children made them leave their house. Cassie was now the advocate for Timmy's parents to finally leave the house.
"Delightful," She sighed, falling onto the couch and on top of his body. "I hope you realize how happy I am dating you." Cassie whispered to him.
"I'm the luckiest kid alive." He retorted with a cocky smile, pulling her closer and hugging her tightly, never wanting to let go.
