Y/n's Pov

it was after school and the weekends had finally arrived, a big relief to busy stressed out high schoolers. I laid on my bed, bored as hell and looking at nail art on Instagram. "ugh I need to get a life" I grumbled to myself angrily.

A small notification came at the top of my phone from Shoto, my ring tone chirp filled my small bedroom. Clicking open his message it read; hey if your free would you like to hang out with me? internally jumping with joy I told Shoto that I was, and asked him where he would like to go. I hate to admit it but Shoto is actually really cute, I can tell he is covering up a soul deep in his body.

I smirked, hugging my phone softly to my chest. "we should go down to the dog park. I know you love dogs judging from all the memes you send" he suggested. I giggled, happy he even noticed. I have never known a boy who paid so much attention to the little things I do. "sounds great! see you at 12:00" and right after pressing send I darted up to get dressed. 

I found a cute little yellow t-shirt with white stripes. a black bow tied it together in the back and it showed off my shoulders. I paired it with light wash jeans and some round black-rimmed glasses. looking in the bedroom mirror I was proud of my outfit choice, grabbing a hairbrush from off my cluttered nightstand I put my hair into space buns, struggling since I wasn't so great at hair. 

I grabbed my small black purse, stuffing my phone from off my bed into the front pocket and dashing out the door with a small goodbye to my mum who I knew would be gone at work by the time I came back home. walking down the sidewalk I couldn't help but beam The dog park coming closer into view and a similar boy's hair stood out from the crowd of dog walkers.

I ran up to him quickly waving my arms to get his attention. "Shoto!" I yelled at him making his head turn in my direction. he smiled vaguely at the sight of me running towards him. "hey, sorry if I was a bit late my hair was a mess." he shrugged. "you're not late at all. 

I huffed a sigh of relief before dragging him along with me to look at the dogs. I felt his kind gaze on me, plopping down on the park bench I studied the puppies who would walk by. I squealed when a mini Australian shepherd passed, reminding me of my old dog Koda. 

I pointed the puppy out to Todoroki, who decided to speak up. "hey miss? I and my friend were wondering if we could pet your dog. The woman looked back at us and smiled. "of course you guys can, she super friendly" 

I got down on the concrete and pet the dog happily, her eyes were a beautiful icy blue. "hey Shoto! her eyes look just like the one on your right side" I told him, "they are so pretty". He blushed softly, crouching down next to me.  

"You're right," he stroked her soft fur as well. "what's her name?" I asked the owner. "this is Kenya, she's 3 years old right now" the owner smiled at her dog proudly. "aw well shes super precious, thanks for letting us meet her" I said. "no problem, she just loves meeting new people, you guys have a nice day. You make a cute couple by the way!" and the owner walked off.

My face went bright red, she thought me and Todoroki were a couple? I looked up at him, he seemed just as flustered.  I giggled seeing him in such an embarrassed state. "don't worry Shoto, I'm sure it was just an honest mistake. he nodded in agreement. "what do you want to do the rest of the day?" I asked. "we should get some food, it's about lunchtime. I know a good place." I nodded following closely behind him on the sidewalk. 

Following behind him we made some small talk. "hey Y/n why did you ask about my zodiac?" He questioned. "oh well I find Zodiacs interesting, since I was bored I decided it might be fun to see how compatible I and my friends were. I asked you and Katsuki." I explained. "Bakugou? why did you ask him, he isn't your friend, is he?" "ya he is actually, we may argue but I still like him. Surprisingly I and Katsuki are pretty compatible." 

Shoto said nothing, I thought I may have seen a bit of jealousy spread onto his resting face but it may just have been my imagination. the silence was awkward. luckily we arrived at the soba restaurant, Kanda Matsuya. 

"Let me guess, this place has to be your favorite right?" I asked Todoroki "how did you know" he joked. "I know cold soba is your favorite Shoto, you have it every day at lunch." I giggled. "ya cold soba is my favorite." I nodded, though I liked miso noddle bowls best.

going inside the overwhelming smell of food made my mouth water. steam emitted from the pots and pans boiling homemade noodles in the kitchen.  I licked my lips hungrily, the food just smelled so good.

Todoroki sat down at a small stool, his arms rested on the dark wood table we prepared to eat at. other customers chatted loudly, filling the place with busy noise. I sat across from him, looking carefully at the menu they had given us. "what are you getting Shoto?" I asked him "Natto Soba maybe? its only 950 yen. how about you?" I thought a bit. "Kakidama Udon, It's a bit cheaper for only 900 yen." Todoroki seemed a bit confused at my choice. "you are not getting soba? this is a soba restaurant." he inquired. "I know but soba isn't really my thing. I prefer Udon." I explained. He smiled softly, "I like how you are honest." that statement made me blush, hiding your face a little.

he chuckled at my reaction, the waiter cleared his throat though trying to get your attention to take our order. I peeked my head up slowly, realizing who was there. Shoto had already said his order to the man. "o-oh I would like the um Kakidama Udon please." The waiter nodded walking away into the kitchen to return the orders to the chef. 

making more small talk with todoroki I decided to ask a sensitive question. "Shoto...what do you think about Katsuki?" I heard an audible sigh come from his mouth. "I personally don't like him much; he screams too much, he's too angry and way too cocky." I nodded in agreement, not all people like Katsuki and most the things he said about him was true. "you're right, don't forget rude." I giggled.

the food came, the waiter slid it onto the bamboo mats that keep the bowls from sliding and ruining the wood. my eyes sparkled at the delicious meal in front of me. thanking our server I grabbed my utensils quickly. I ate the egg first, they were my favorite part. after I had some of the noodles mixed in with mushrooms, carrots, green onions, and some other vegetables they added on top of the noodles. 

Looking up at Todoroki he already had a bunch of noodles stuffed into his cheek. I giggled at how goofy he looked. He noticed I was staring and flushed red. "oh my gosh you look so cute" I complimented. making him turn even redder. swallowing the food he objected. "I am not cute, I'm just trying to eat my food in peace Y/n!" "yea, yea you still looked cute. damn now I wish I got a photo." He laughed mockingly at my misfortune making me pout.  "maybe next time." 

after we finished our meal he paid the money, Not knowing where he got all of it. I would ask later. Getting out the restaurant I decided it was best to question it now. "how did you get all those yen, Shoto?" he grumbled a bit in frustration. "I stole it from my father, he deserves it." I was shocked by his answer. "your father? you mean Endeavor?" "Yeah, he's terrible to me or my siblings. Especially my mom. He's a horrible person and deserves to burn" I could understand. my father used to abuse me, keeping it from my mother before he abandoned my family. If I ever told her I would get hurt.  I shuffled my feet around. I had no clue how to respond. "what did he do?" the word flew out before I could register how rude it may be. "I don't really wanna talk about it. want me to walk you home?" 

I had a crazy idea pop into my head, Todoroki obviously knew from the sparkle in my eyes and devious smirk. "hey Shoto...is your dad home?" he looked shocked "well y-yes" he sighed. jumping up and down like a child with joy I shouted "let's have a sleepover so you can avoid him!" he smiled.  "good idea let's go."
