It's just a black van always parked across the street, and whenever I see or think about, I gives me the chills.
Something wasn't right...
I'd wondered who'd taken such interest in me, that van had been there in the same spot for at least a week now. It was completely abnormal, for the first time in a while I'd felt uncomfortable.
I had been walking home from work, it was a quite night with no sight of anyone. I'd gotten the urge that I was being followed but when I turned around there was nothing there, just some trash cans.
Maybe I'm just over exaggerating.
I heard noises again and continued walking, but this time a little faster than before. I took out my phone to call my mom but it was snatched out my hand abruptly. Before I could turn around, someone had put a cold metal to my head.
"W-What do you want?!"
This stranger had the strength of a thousand men. My eyes focused on a white hoodie. I wouldn't be able to see their face, not at this time of night.
I thought he was going to speak, at least explain why he was doing this. But before he could..
Everything went black...
Something was telling me to be brave, show NO fear. But the first two people that came to mind were my parents. It would be horrifying to wake up and hear that something horrible has happened to your only child. But, nothing could prepare me for what I was about to hear.
~ The Next Morning ~
I am awaken by the sounds of shuffling, I examine the room that I'm currently in and judging by the looks of things, I'm not in my condo. There's nothing out of ordinary, it looks like a normal room. I had been laying on a king sized bed in a big plain white tee. It was awkward because I'd been fully dressed the night before everything occurred. When I turn my head to the left, there is a door that is halfway cracked open. Pushing the covers down, I get up and walk toward it. The door creaks open alerting the man sitting in the chair behind the long black desk.
"Ah, good morning Naomi. That is your name right?"
"Y-Yeah it is but how do you know?"
"Well, I know everything about you. I know that you're nineteen years old, you're a Virgo, your birthday is September 19 and you're from New Orleans."
"But w-what do you want?"
"My name is Jacob and I'm protecting you."
"Protecting me from what?"
He doesn't say anything, he then takes me by the hand and leads me down the hallway to another room. He switches on the lights and points to a board hanging high on the wall.
"Him." Jacob points.
I take down the picture, the male in the picture is a tall male in his early 20s. He looks familiar but I just don't know how to quite out my finger on who it might be. I'd known this guy had to be pretty dangerous if I had been kidnapped and being "protected" by someone I had hardly known. But something was completely different about Jacob, he didn't seem like your standard kidnapper. He was... Nice, it was absolutely obscene.
"So do you recognize him?"
"I mean he looks familiar, other than that he's a complete stranger."
"He has kidnapped many females around your area."
*Flashback*
Fox 5 News: There has seemed to be another kidnapping near Peachtree Drive. Joy Higgins, a 20 year old college student, went missing on September 17. She was last seen walking to the BP Gas Station, she was wearing a black hoodie, acid washed jeans and black converses. If you have any information on the disappearance of Joy Higgins, please contact the Henry County Police Station."I remember seeing his sketch on the News."
Naomi's POV
Selene, my best friend, well was my best friend. I had known her since Pre-K, we had grown up together and we'd accomplished so many things. Her senior year in high school was suppose to be her best year, little did she know it would be her last. She had went missing a week before graduation, I didn't think it was a big deal, I thought she'd pop up a few days later. I wasn't worried, but that was before I got the phone call... Selena had been found dead in the woods right behind my home.I had always wondered who'd do such a thing. Why would someone take the life
