Emily sat in her desk watching telenovela. She glanced out the window. It had been sunny in the morning but clouds were beginning to make the sky dark. She became distracted and let her thoughts wander. She pulled out her sketchbook and began to outline her next toe painting. Emily was known all throughout the southern half of the county for her magnificent toe paintings.
She turned to JenG. "What should I make?" asked Emily. "A penis" said JenG, "a big, fat, black penis" Emily got to work. She took the paint and a canvas out of her backpack and removed her socks. She dipped her toes in the paint carefully. She loved the feeling of cold brown paint on her toe tips.
As she created her masterpiece, the sky grew darker Emily could hear thunder in the distance. She paid no mind to it until lightening struck. The lights went out creating a moment of pitch black. When the lights came back on JenG was gone. Emil gasped. No one else noticed. The bell rang and she put her toe painting supplies back in her bag and sprinted to her next class.
