Kaden persists. He continues to shrink his fangs into his mates skin as if he's some sort of starving vampire, and she's his only blood source. His hands move to grasp her neck to hold her in place.

As the pain from her lower regions ends, she registers the horrible burn coming from her neck, she tries to scream but it comes out as a fragile yelp. The lust she was just recently feeling was now long gone. Kaden's hands seemed to be choking her to death, and his body which just mere seconds ago made her feel complete, was now intoxicating her, trapping her lungs with his weight. She couldn't breath.

Kaden noticed his mates struggle the second he heard her yelp. His fangs weren't deep enough though. Just a little bit deeper and the mating would be complete.

Scarlett let out a gasp for air, bringing a realization to Kaden. He was choking her. Almost immediately his hands left her neck.

From the corner of his eyes he saw his mate take gulps of air, filling up her lungs. Yet she was breathing with difficulty. He was crushing her. Using his newly free hands he hoisted his body up using one arm.

He noticed how his mate's face was screwed up in pain. He was hurting her. Using one of his hands he softly started to massage her neck.

As he watched his mate breathe deeply, he decided to put an ending to her torture and sunk his teeth inside of her with all he had.

The scream of pain his mate produced was quickly replaced by a gasp as the pain was suddenly put out like a flame, a flame vanished by a waterfall, and replaced by fireworks.

The sparks which where already strong against them were now replaced by lightning, the warmth by lava and the chilliness by a frostbite. They felt complete.

Softly, making sure not to hurt her, Kaden pulled his teeth -which were starting to shrink back to size- out of his beauty.

Kaden started to coax his mate's cheeks with his thumbs. A complete smile blossomed onto his face. In that moment he felt complete. Which was something he honestly hadn't felt in a long time.

Scarlett inhaled and exhaled deeply, glad the burn on her neck was gone. She closed her eyes softly and savored the sparks which flowed around them both like a river. Tying them together for as long as they shall live.

She felt her mates bare body pressing against her once more. And as soon as she did, warning bells started to ring inside her head.

Scarletts heart started to hammer inside her chest as the realisation struck her.

He marked her.

She would be lying if she said she wasn't pissed. How could he have marked her without her approval? Might as well get down on one knee right now and tell her she's going to marry him whether she likes it or not. She wasn't pissed. She was infuriated.
