The Farewell

2 days later.

Minseok opened his eyes and he saw his mom sitting on his bed while holding his hand and looking at him anxiously. Minseok's mom asked, "How do you feel, Minseok-ah?" Minseok said, "Eomma... I remember everything." Minseok's mom asked in shock, "Really??" Minseok nodded.

Minseok's mom asked, "Do you remember your name?" Minseok nodded and answered, "My name is Kim Jong Deok." Tears wet Minseok's mom's face. Minseok wiped the tears on his mom's face while saying, "Don't cry eomma... I won't leave you even though I have remembered everything." Minseok's mom nodded while smiling with tears rolling down her face.

Meanwhile at school, Jongdae and friends were having lunch together at the canteen. Luhan said, "It happened again. Remember when Jongdae didn't come late to school? Minseok was late that day. Now Jongdae won the singing competition and Minseok got into accident." Baekhyun said, "I got goosebumps when I think about it."

Jongdae asked Luhan, "Are you saying that every time I'm lucky, Minseok hyung will get bad luck?" Luhan said, "I don't want to think of it like that but it seems that's what happened to you and Minseok. You two can exchange your luck."

Junmyeon asked confusedly, "But how could it happen?" Chanyeol asked Jongdae curiously, "What did you do to Minseok hyung?" Jongdae answered, "I did nothing. It just happened."

Minseok was hospitalized for 1 week. Minseok's friends took turn to visit Minseok at the hospital because they all had different school club schedules.

1 month later.

The bell rang and students left the class for lunch. Minseok asked Baekhyun, Chanyeol and Kyungsoo, "Where is Jongdae?" Baekhyun answered, "Jongdae didn't come to school today." Kyungsoo said, "Jongdae never didn't come to school, he was just always late."

Junmyeon said, "Maybe something really bad happened to Jongdae so he couldn't come to school." Baekhyun said, "I tried to call Jongdae just now but he didn't pick up his phone." Yixing said, "I hope Jongdae is safe."

Luhan, Kris and Chanyeol had a basketball club schedule while Baekhyun and Tao had a taekwando club schedule. As for Yixing, Sehun and Jongin, they had a dance club schedule. So, only Minseok, Junmyeon and Kyungsoo who were free to go to Jongdae's house.

When Minseok, Junmyeon and Kyungsoo arrived at Jongdae's house, Jongdae's neighbour told them that Jongdae had been taking care of his mom at the hospital since last night. 

When Minseok, Junmyeon and Kyungsoo arrived the hospital, they saw Jongdae crying outside his mom's room. Kyungsoo asked Jongdae, "Is your eomma okay?" Jongdae shook his head while saying in tears, "Eomma never told me that her gastric was getting worse lately... I thought eomma was fine... But she wasn't fine at all." 

Minseok asked Jongdae, "Can I go inside to see your eomma?" Jongdae wiped his tears and nodded, then he brought Minseok inside.

Jongdae's mom smiled at Minseok and said weakly, "Thank you for visiting me." Minseok's eyes became teary when he saw his biological mom lying helpless in bed. Jongdae's mom said weakly, "Please... Convey my grateful... To your eomma." "I will," Minseok replied in a shaking voice while holding back his tears.

Jongdae's mom said weakly, "Jongdae-ah... Let eomma hug you." Jongdae approached his mom and rested his head on his mom's chest. Jongdae's mom hugged Jongdae while saying weakly, "Sorry for not being able to give you a good life... Please forgive eomma." Jongdae said while crying on his mom's chest, "Please don't say sorry, eomma... I have a good life, I'm happy with my life."
