Liam's POV
The lads and I are at the bar watching some football while we wait for the girls to finish their shopping. I'm hoping that Stella's having a good time when out of the corner of my eye I see someone walking up to me. "Hello lover," Sophia croons.
I clench my eyes at the sound of her voice. I told her to stay away from me. "Sophia, what the hell are you doing here?" She smiles, "what makes you think we're really through love? You're gonna come back to me, you did it before didn't you? So what if I speed up the process?" I'm apalled at what I hear come out of her mouth. She pulls up a chair and orders a drink. So out of sheer curiousity to prevent myself from causing a scene I ask her, "Sophia, what makes you think this is ok? What makes you think that after everything you've done that you can still get everything you want?" The bartender brings Sophia's drink, its a fruity one that she starts to fiddle with the straw, "Liam, I always get what I want, and if I like something I go after it. Period. The people who are miserable in the world are that way because they don't go after what they want and let their circumstances get in the way. I don't want to miss out on anything, so yes, I liked that producer and I went for it. I liked you and I went for you. Every time I'll just get what I want because I go for it."
I frown, I see how she thinks, I get it. "There's one major flaw in your thinking Soph," I tell her, she raises her eyebrow when I tell her. "That's a really selfish way to live life, and you'll never be happy. Its a great way to survive, that's why you're strong and I loved you for your bravery and boldness," she stops fiddling with the straw, and just stares at it, "happiness is found with people, and your method guarantees you'll always end up alone because you're always going to hurt everyone you meet. That's why I have my friends, life is better with them than by myself." I pause to let her think, she takes a deep breath, "ok then, you should teach me about that," she smiles at me. I shake my head, "No. That's something you have to figure out on your own. You've done enough damage with me, I've moved on, thanks to you. Now go and good luck." I dismiss her.
She looks at me and stands up slowly. "That's not how this works Liam," she says, enunciating each word. "Your way of thinking is cute. But thats not how the real world works, you WILL be mine because I say so. Plain and simple." She's shaking with frustration, but steps closer and brushes her hand down my arm. What is wrong with this girl?
"Um no bitch, he won't be," a voice says from behind her. Suddenly Sophia gets whipped around to face the other direction. Stella! "He said to leave him alone, and just because you're a spoiled brat doesn't mean that I'm gonna stand by and let you do whatever you feel like, he told you to leave, now go!" Stella commands her. Perrie and Eleanor stare at Stella wide eyed. All of them have tolerated Sophia for my sake, because I care about her as a person, but Stella did not seem the slightest bit concerned about Sophia's feelings. "Or what? What are you going to do about it? You're pathetically friend zoned by Liam and you have no idea what its like to live in our world. Why the hell should I listen to you? I'm the best woman for Liam, you should shut up and accept that," Sophia snarkily shoots back. I look at Stella, and she looks like she's fuming. "You can keep talking, but I am going literally pick you up and throw you the fuck out of this bar, and if you try to come back I'll report you to the cops for stalking Liam!" Stella's voice gets louder. "You think you can get away with that Miss Stella?" "I'm way stronger than you and have witnesses that saw Liam tell you to get away multiple times, try me bitch!" Stella spat out. I've never seen Stella this upset. "Stella calm down, don't let her get under your skin," I attempt to calm her. "No! She's completely disrespecting you and I will not watch her hurt you again!" Sophia only smirks and sits back down. Stella looks ready to explode and walks over and grabs Sophia by the waist and hoists her over her shoulder. Everyone suddenly jumps up and starts to walk out with them, with Sophia kicking and shrieking, "Put me down you cavewoman! How dare you pick me up! Stop!" "As you wish madam!" Stella laughs as she reaches the door, and with one hard shove, she throws her on the sidewalk. "Ow!" She squeals, and starts to cry, "Liam how could you let her do this to me!" I shrug cluelessly, which just infuriates her even more, I don't know what else to do, I feel bad for her crying but, there's a part of me that feels she did deserve some of what happened today. Am I a bad person? "HE doesn't control what happens to you, YOU do! And you brought this on yourself when you decided to stop caring about the people you hurt along the way. Now, look, I'm sorry for being too rough on you, but I won't sit by and have you screw with Liam anymore. I want him to be happy with whatever he wants and he said he wants to move on. So go! And good luck figuring things out Sophia." Stella turns away, and walks back into the bar and I quickly follow her, "Liam!" Sophia calls out, I look at her and just shake my head and turn away to follow Stella.
Stella's shoving people out of the way and making her way to the back patio. "Stella! Stella wait!" I try to reach her, why is she running away? Wouldn't that be a win for most girls?
I catch up to her in an unoccupied part of the patio with her looking away. "Hey, Stella, that was intense back there," I tell her and turn her my way. She's crying! Why is she crying? "I don't understand, what's wrong?" She sniffles, "is what Sophia said true? Is her type better for you than I am? I'm not a model Liam, I don't know what it's like to have trips like this regularly, I don't have the money to buy expensive clothes. I fight for a living! What will people say about you? Did I wish for too much when I had a crush on you? I just want you to be happy, and I don't know what its like to be with someone like you! Do I have to stop fighting? Do I have to be more girly?" I quickly hug her tightly, put my head in the crook of her neck, breathe in her perfume and close my eyes, "Stella, you are perfect. You are absolutely perfect just the way you are. Everything about you is perfect. I love how passionate you are about fighting, it reminds me of how passionate I am about music! I would never ask you to stop that for me. Don't listen to Sophia. I don't know what the future will bring. All I know is that right now I like you so much and am excited to see what's in store for us." I kiss the top of her head, "you were pretty badass back there. Is that the infamous Puerto Rican temper I hear about?" She giggles in my arms, "I'm sorry," she says, "I think I went a little overboard there. I just couldn't stand how she was talking to you!" I laugh, "it's fine, just remind me to watch out if I ever piss you off!" We both laugh, she looks up at me and smiles, we share a tender kiss, my heart flutters a bit, and we walk back inside, hand in hand.
