Chapter Twenty-Two

The sound of your alarm woke you up. You yawned and stretched, then got out of your bed to get ready for your night shift. After putting on your shirt, you glanced at the clock. It read "11:50PM" You mentally cussed as you rushed to put on your shoes, running out the door. You drove as fast as you could since it would take at least 11 minutes to get there. You eventually made it, just a minute before 12. A girl around your age was standing there at the entrance as you put your guard up and approached her. She didn't seem bothered by you, in fact she didn't even notice you! She seemed off into her own world as you cleared your throat, she finally noticed you.

"Oh, hi!" She exclaimed as she hugged you, you stood there confused.

"Um- Why are you here?" You asked.

"Well, I'm the night guard for the place! I suppose your the other night guard the manager told me about?" She asked.

"Wait what, we could have two night guards here- Um, anyways, yeah. Im (Y/N) (L/N), you?" You held out your hand.

She gladly shook it, "I'm Nova!"

You two entered the place, it being unusually quiet and eerie. Maybe it's because there's a new night guard?

Nova shrieked, "You work here every night?!" You nodded as you both walked down the halls. Both of your footsteps echoed down the corridor in sync as the light flickered from above. Eventually, you both made it to the security room and sat down.

"The manager told you everything already, right?" You asked blankly, she nodded. "Well, that's basically everything. Just make sure to check the cameras and everything." You said.

"You're staying here right?!?" She screamed.

You chuckled, "Well duh, I'm one of the night guards."

Suddenly, you and Nova heard a bang on the windowsill. Both of your eyes gazed at the window to see Chica, Nova screeched.

"W-W-Who's that?!" Nova screeched.

Chica ran inside, shaking Nova's hand. "Hi, I'm Chica the Chicken!"

Nova screeched again, "C-C-CHICA, AS IN THE ANIMATRONIC?!"

Chica nodded enthusiastically and innocently.

You facepalmed, "Okay, let me explain the situation. The animatronics you see in this place can turn into humans by some freaky magic or something. The manager told you about the bite of 87' and the children missing right?" Nova nodded slowly. "Well the children were stuffed into the animatronic suits and their souls merged with the animatronic suit and now.. y'know." You said.

"Oh, okay!" Nova said. "Let's go meet them!" Nova grabbed you and Chica and ran into the main part of the attraction.

Chica yelled, "You guys can come out now, she understands!" Suddenly everyone came out.

Nova waved, "Hi, I'm Nova! I'm the new night guard along with (Y/N)!"

The male animatronics mumbled some stuff, hearing Freddy say, "She's kinda hot—" You threw your shoe at his head, "No hitting on her, asshole!" He backed away as Goldie turned away to laugh.
