New book, Disappearing Act(N.Romanoff) coming out soon so check it out!!!_.itssarah._
Kabria and the other Avengers sat in chairs around a long table in one of the ten conference rooms in the Coalition headquarters. Sean, the man they had just met, was preparing paper work all while holding the gun in his holster with one hand. Kabria had never seen anything like it, but it wasn't a normal fun was all she knew.
"It's a 594 Repulser gun from 8621." Sean stated. He must have noticed Kabria's stare. The woman smiled a little. "You know Sean, time travel can change a lot of events in the present, right? Pretty supernatural to me." She stated. Sean shook his head. "We only go forward when we need weapons and we go to the Time Shop there, it's the only place safe to jump to and jump back and not interfere with the current timeline."
Kabria wasn't about to affair defeat though. "But that's still a supernatural event." Before she could say anything else, Sean interrupted with a laugh.
"My dear Kabria, so clueless but yet, so smart. Tell me, you were queen once, if you were king of the castle would you obey the rules you created for the people who follow you?" He asked. Kabria didn't answer, she just looked down. "Exactly, and by the looks of it, you sure made a lot of rules..." Beforse she could lunge, Natasha butt in.
"Why are we here, Sean? Give us the information we need and we'll be on our way sooner." She demanded. Sean smiled at the red head. "If I wasn't assigned to kill you, if take you on a date." He confessed. Natasha rolled her eyes and asked her question again.
"Well, for starters, you're inside the Coalition headquarters so congratulations! Unfortunately, this isn't a friendly visit seeing as you have six days to live, along with the rest of the Earth." Sean began. "Okay, but what exactly is the Coalition?" Tony asked. "You know you guys patrol Earth and fight off whatever tries to harm it? Well we fight off supernatural events that people like you cause when you're warding off evil. It's not always a super powered being that causes the problem, sometimes it's just a human messing with to many supernatural items. And usually they aren't that big, but your little fight with Loki Miss Scott, tipped the scale like no other."
"What gives you the right to end the Earth and the lives of everyone on it?" Steve asked, listening intently. "Because from what I see, Kabria saved the world." Sean sighed. "And see, thats were your wrong. The world was already on verge of catastrophe. The timeline was already super jacked up and things that we had prevented seventy years ago were coming back to bite us in the ass. We had a farmer up ducted by aliens in Louisiana last month. We saw what your girlfriend did as a heroic crime. As a hero, you have to make sacrifices. You say who is bad and who is good, Captain, why can't we?" Sean asked. It was straight silence for a minute of two.
"How will the population come back?" Bruce questioned. "You're taking about destroying life on a grand scale, Sean. I don't even think the Coalition can fix the damage this is gonna inflict."
"Well, yes and no. You see, we need to kill you guys and destroy the Earth, however, the Coalition had the ability to remake realities. After making a new magi free Earth, we'll inject it into this reality again, except, this ones Avengers free." This made Kabria shoot up in rage. "No. I won't let you just...destroy like that. We all saved the damn world you're about to blow up! Without us heroes you wouldn't have a damn job! There has got to be another way and you're lucky we can't use our powers in this building because I have tried almost a million times already." Kabria protested and admitted.
Steve place a reassuring hand on hers and shook his head, saying it wasn't worth the battle she was about to begin.
"Look, you guys are great people and I truly mean great people. You're the kind of guys I would have looked up to at my age and if you want me to be honest, it wasn't my idea to kill you, it was my bosses. If I had any say, half the people we've killed wouldn't be dead." Sean admitted. "Okay so why do you still work for a corporation that goes against your beliefs?" Tony asked. "The same reason why some of you guys signed the Sokovia Accords..." "What?" Bruce asked. Sean looked up as if to check something. "Right, sorry. We're not there yet."
That statement made Kabria think. We're not there yet. Yet. They survived this death sentence.
"Ah ha!" She yelled. Everyone looked at her like she was crazy. "Watch what you say, Sean, cause I just got some information. You said yet, meaning that we survive the death sentence you've placed us." The room got quiet, as if everyone was processing what they had just heard and Sean looked ghostly pale.
"Shit." He stated. "So, we live. How?" Natasha asked. Sean shook his head. "That, I can't tell you. I've already said to much. What I can say though, is that it's going to take a lot for you to make it out of this alive, a whole lot. And I want you to know that the trials coking up ahead will make you look at each other like you want them dead. Don't kill each other is my advice. Goodbye."
And then all went black as the room faded into nothingness around them. Kabria didn't remember passing out, but she awoke with a headache on the couch of the Avengers tower. "Damn it how long have we been out?" She mumbled more to herself than to anyone else. When no one answered, she began to sit up, only to find that no one was in the room with her.
"Hello!" She yelled, no answer. Getting up girl the couch, she noticed that the tower wasn't the same as when they left. In fact, it was very different seeing as there was a wall missing and the whole front was blown off. Ash covered her body as she noticed her arm was bleeding. She tried to walk but a cut formed on her abdomen, blood pooling out.
Falling to her knees with a grunt, she could hear the sounds of bombs explosions outside. The world around her was falling apart, being destroyed at the seems.
"Six days." A voice from behind her said. Before she could turn, a blade stabbed her from the back. She let out an ear piecing scream as the blade exited. Blood poured from her mouth as the world around he grew black. When she hit the floor, she saw the stone cold blue eyes of her lover, Steve Rogers. She wanted to scream, to yell to fight back. But she couldn't do anything but cry and so she did.
And that's when he crouched down ok front of her. The face of the man she assumed was long gone smiled right back at her.
"Six days Kabria, in coming to kill you all in six days." And then everything went black as she died.
A breath of air filled her lungs as she screamed. A pair of gentle but firm hands grabbed her to calm her down. "Kabria calm down, you're safe!" She yelled. Kabria finally calmed down enough to realize where she was. The tower wasn't blown up and the world outside looked normal. Busy people with busy lives. Just living.
The woman came into her view and Kabria couldn't help it breathe a sigh of relief. "Gemma, oh my gods I'm glad you're here I just had a dream and..." "Shh, they'll hear you." Kabria turned to see the rest of the team sitting in the living room chatting. No one had a smile on their face, especially Steve. He looked panicked.
"Why can't they..." "I saw what was in your dream, Kab. I know who you saw I know he's alive and that he's coming." Gemma stated. A tear ran down both their cheeks as they hugged each other.
"Oh my gods Gemma, he's alive." She cried. Gemma nodded in her shoulder.
"Alexander's alive, and he's going to destroy the world in six days."
