Heavy drops of rain rolled down the glass window. There was currently a huge storm happening in Townsville and all the citizens were inside, including our beloved Powerpuff Girls.

"Ugh, stupid rain. Why can't it just go away already?!" Buttercup yelled out anxiously, watching the rain come down nonstop. "I want to go outside and practice my soccer moves!"

Bubbles, who was staring out the window, looked at the green Puff. "Oh, Buttercup! Doesn't the rain seem beautiful to you at all?" She asked.

Buttercup just shook her head and replied, "Nah, no way."

Bubbles frowned, "Then if you really want it to go away, why don't you just sing the "Rain, rain go away" song?"

Before Buttercup could respond, Blossom beat her to it. "There's a simple explanation to that, Bubbles. The reason is because when someone sings for it to go away, instead of actually going away, it will pour down more."

Bubbles nodded slowly, showing that she understood. Seconds later, her face saddened.

"Ahhh, now I really do want it to go away! Boomie and I were planning on going to the carnival but our plans had to change last minute because of the rain." She explained, sadly.

"Aww, that's such a bummer Bubbles! Brick and I also had plans but we had to cancel as well." Blossom confessed.

Buttercup just stood there, looking at both her lovesick sisters. She sighed. She never understood why Blossom and Bubbles started going out with the ruffs in the first place. . . it just suddenly happened.

Out of nowhere, a single word crossed her mind. Butch.

Realizing what she was thinking, Buttercup shook her head, gaining the attention of both her sisters.

"What?" She asked them.

"You were blushing just now. . ." Blossom slowly said, surprised. This was the very first time they had ever seen Buttercup blush.

Bubbles squealed.

Startled by Blossom's statement, Buttercup felt herself heating up again. No! Not again. . . Why do I always have him in my mind anyways?!

Buttercup restrained her posture and pretended like nothing was going on. "You two better be kidding me! Buttercup never blushes."

Her sisters said nothing and just giggled to themselves.

Buttercup gritted her teeth, "By the way, I still don't get why two of you are dating the ruffs- or should I say the enemies in the first place place!" She exclaimed.

Blossom laughed, "It's something called love, Buttercup."

Bubbles agreed, "Haven't you ever experienced or heard of it?" She questioned.

Buttercup just shrugged. Of course she had heard it.  Many times indeed. She just never understood the purpose of it. . . "I don't know. . . but there is one thing I do know, and that is that I don't have time for it and never will!"

"Maybe you're right. . . at the moment. But once you learn it's true meaning, you'll understand." Blossom stated.

Bubbles nodded while Buttercup just stayed silent. A few seconds of nothing but silence passed by and she suddenly stood up and went for the door.

"Hey, where are you going?" Blossom asked, concerned about her sister going outside in this weather.

"I'm just taking a little walk." Buttercup simply responded while opening the door.

"But didn't you just said that you despised the rain?" Bubbles asked, also worried. Buttercup didn't hear her though, or maybe she did, but the door was already closed.

--

Buttercup walked around Townsville, stepping in a few puddles of water a few times. The rain was still coming down really strong and it looked like it wasn't going going away any time soon.

She wanted to clear her mind off Butch.

She spotted a tree not too far from where she was  and leaned her back against it, still deep in thought. "Just why do I keep thinking of you?" Buttercup asked herself and then whispered, "Butch. . ."

"Butch?! Did I hear that right?" Someone walking towards her said, taken back by her words. Afraid that someone might've heard her, Buttercup looked at her surroundings and saw Butch right in front of her.

She was shocked at first but then she narrowed her eyes at him. "Want do you think you're doing here?" She asked with venom in her voice.

Butch chuckled, "I believe I'm here for the same reason as you are. I'm taking a 'little' walk."

Buttercup clenched her fists, "Are you stalking me?!" She suddenly yelled.

"Maybe yes, maybe no." Butch simply responded.
"My brothers and I went to visit you girls- well. . . more like my two brothers went to visit your sisters since they were saddened that their plans got cancelled. And your sisters asked me if I could come look for you."

"That's it. I will officially kill them when I get home." Buttercup stated, even though deep inside her she was super happy that she had some alone time with Butch.

Butch laughed, "There's no way I would ever miss that."

Surprisingly, Buttercup also laughed and nodded. This was the first time they had actually agreed on something.

After the laughter died down, there were a few minutes of silence. It was a very comfortable silence though.

"Here." Butch suddenly said, giving Buttercup his umbrella since she was soaked. Buttercup looked at him, their eyes locked on each other's.

Nobody expected the next move. . .

Instead of taking the umbrella, Buttercup grabbed Butch by the collar of his shirt and smashed her lips against his. Butch was shocked, but kissed her back.

It lasted for about a minute and then they broke apart.

Butch was about to say something when Buttercup playfully hit him on the shoulder. "Just don't say anything." She said as her face heated up. Butch nodded and they shared another quick kiss before going back to their siblings, both holding the umbrella.

Buttercup finally understood the true meaning of love; it is when you choose to be at your best when the other person is not at their best.

Love is when what you want is never important. But what the other person needs and wants, is always paramount.

Love isn't something you find, love is something that finds you.

Buttercup had noticed before how she always felt strange when she was with Butch and how she always kept thinking about him. All these feelings happened because of him.

Buttercup looked at Butch and smiled. It was. . . all because of him. 'It was all because of you." Buttercup thought to herself, feeling happy to finally understand why her sisters felt this way towards the other Ruffs.

It was all because of you. . .
