chapter one - pep talk.

maddi verdile was a freshman at a druggy school filled with bitches & pot heads. she managed how ever, to be obsessed with bands & be a cheerleader. she was sassy as shit. she'd look people up & down, give them a disgusted look, flip her hair, & leave. she'd recently become friends with Sarah Fabi. who was a year younger than her, they were texting.

maddi; Jordan made a sexual comment.

sarah; was it about your butt?

maddi; ...

sarah; it was about your butt! I win! can you guys date please?

maddi then realized, she should do something about this. she was in love with this boy, she deserved him.

she got up & began looking for an outfit. her phone started ringing. it was sarah or "dash💕" because she's super fab. "hello?" maddi said pressing the phone between her shoulder & ear still looking for clothes.

"I called you because you need a pep talk. this boy has been driving you crazy for.." there was a pause so sarah could count on her fingers.

"7 years! he's flirted with you, asked you on dates, & has been nothing but an attractive sweetheart for 7 years. walk to my house. I need to slap you." sarah hung up. but maddi knew what to do.

she grabbed leggings (because booty) & an oversized shirt. she quickly straightened her hair, her makeup was already done because she had gone to a car wash for cheerleading that morning.

"DAD!" she called her mom was at work. "I'm going to sarah's."

"sarah fabi?" he asked "I love that kid! tell her I said hi! I miss her!"

"yeah. bye."

she walked out of the house down the street & then up. until she reached sarah's brick house & walked in, then into sarah's bedroom.

she was standing with a diagram drawn on her white board. "ok, sit." she pointed to her bed.

"look, you can do this. walk to his house, then before you knock on his door start voice recording on your phone, I want to hear it all. then express your feelings, jump into his arms, start dating, hangout. then call me & walk back here. after that phase 2 must commence." sarah finished & raised her eyebrow at maddi. "got it?" she asked.

"you're a dumb ass. bye."

"YOU CAN DO IT!" sarah yelled as maddi walked out of the house "yeah I know."
