Chapter Two - First Day Back At School

"Rise and shine Upper East Siders, it's time for your first day back at school."

It was 6:30am and at Blair's apartment, she was woken up by the loud sound of her alarm and her Mother calling her down for school. She got up, got dressed, ate breakfast and left for school. Over in Brooklyn, Dan & Jenny got up and sat down to have breakfast with their Dad.

"So, are you two excited for your first day back at school?"

"Oh yeah, work, work and work, what's not to love about that!" Dan says sarcastically

"There is one thing to look forward for though."

"What is that then Jenny?"

"Ummm, she begins with S and ends in Van Der Woodsen."

"I barely know the girl. Just because we bumped into each other yesterday doesn't mean that by the end of today, she'll be my girlfriend."

"Never say never!"

"Okay thanks Dad. Me and Jenny should get going otherwise we're gonna be late for school, see you later."

"Bye guys, have fun!"

Back in the Upper East Side, Serena also sat down to have a nice breakfast with Lilly and Eric.

"So you two, back to school time hey? I can't believe how fast summers gone."

"I know, it's crazy."

"Eric, how are you feeling about today?"

"Well it's school I guess and nothings so-"

"I mean because you know you haven't been to school since the suicide attempt"

"Oh yeah that, well as I said, it's school. Nothing's so special about it. I'll just walk in there and focus okay. Don't worry about me Mom."

"Oh shoot, is that the time. Eric we have to go. Right we love you and we'll see you later on!"

A few blocks away from Serena's apartment, Chuck and Nate get ready for school.

"I can't believe what happened last night."

"Chuck, please don't remind me. I just wanna forget it ever happened and move on."

"You sure that Blair feels the same way? I mean come on, it's Blair Waldorf. She'll make your day a living hell if you don't go and apologise."

"You were there last night. She told me and Serena to stay away from her. Anyways, I'm gonna give her a bit of time to calm down and then one day I'll try again, and try to talk to her properly without her head blowing off."

"Right then, lets go otherwise we'll be late."

It was now 9am and school had just started. Blair and Serena had English together & because of the massive argument that they had yesterday, they didn't speak to each other even though they sat next to each other. An hour of complete silence from the pair of them went by and then class was over.

"Blair, wait, can I talk to you please!"

"Serena, what didn't you understand last night? I said to you and Nate, don't bother coming up to speak to me."

"I know, but I wanted to-"

"Say sorry? Yes I know and for the fiftieth time, I don't care."

"I hate arguing with you B, please come on, you're meant to be my best friend."

"Yeah I know, best friends don't sleep with other best friends boyfriends. I mean I don't know what boarding school taught you but-"

"B, I just want you to know-"

"Serena, cross me again, and you'll pay for it. Leave me alone. I'll speak to you once I'm ready and when I choose to forgive you both."

After a few hours of classes, it was now lunch time and as Blair and Serena are still in an argument, they both go and sit with their other friends. But whilst Serena was getting her food, she bumps into two very familiar faces,

"Dan. Jenny. Hey guys."

"Oh Serena, hey how are you?"

"I'm good thanks, how are you both?"

"Yeah, we're good thanks."

"Um, Dan. You okay?"

"Sorry, I'm just super tired."

"Oh late night for you too?"

"Yeah, yeah, something like that."

"How come you aren't sitting with Blair?"

"Oh Jenny, me and her got into a big argument last night. Hey why don't us three sit together, I could really use some friends to sit with and I'll explain everything that's happened between me and Blair."

Serena, Dan and Jenny all go sit down to have lunch together. And while they're all sat together, on the opposite side of the lunch hall, Blair is sat down with all of her little minions. Hannah, Amy and Erica. Whilst everyone was eating, every now and then, you could catch a glimpse of Blair and Serena giving dirty looks to each other across the room.

{GG}: Uh oh, looks like S has already replaced B after constantly apologising and not getting the reaction that she hoped for. But doesn't Serena know, Blair loves a good game, especially when she's on the winning side!
