"Aren't you happy it's lunch?" Jared says as we are waking down to our other friends.
"Yeah I mean at least we get a little break from talking about ourselves for a little."
"Hey! Jared! Katlynn!"
"Anna!" I blurt out as running to my cousin
"How are you two loooove birds?!" Anna says in a teasing voice
"We aren't dating you know that. Why do you keep calling us that" I say flustered
"We are doing great Anna. How are you?" Jared says going in for a hug and completely ignoring the fact that she just called us lovebirds.
"I'm doing great! You look amazing Katelynn."
"Thanks Anna."
Here's the thing about Anna she has always called the iconic duo Jared and Katelynn! Lovebirds since middle school when I was going through my awkward phase that I'm still in a little, but that's besides the point. Anna is a very optimistic person. She has blue and purple dyed hair at the ends and her eyes are just like mine blue and green, but hers are brown and green. She dresses very out there, she stands out more than I do. We are constantly being compared to each other since I dress in hoodies and jeans. Anyways Anna is a magnet for guys. It's like every few months she has a boyfriend, but the one she is with right now they've been with each other for a good 6 months, they seem happy together.
"Soooo, how has your first day been so far? Is it fun being here in this school? What teachers do you guys have?" Anna says in one breath
"Good, I mean the school is definitely bigger from the middle school and harder to navigate through, and the teachers are cool i guess, some look pretty pissed that they are here but who isn't?" I say
"It's cool, just wish the teachers weren't so rude." Jared says
"Well come sit and we can talk more about the rude and pissed off teachers." Anna says while gesturing to the table."
