"Step back inside please, m'am."
You can hear the low-register voice of a man but don't recognize it, you cautiously edge round the bedroom door frame sticking your head out slowly.
Through the living room door, you catch the slightest glimpse of the police officer.
You whip back round onto the bedroom wall, clapping a hand over your mouth to stifle your panic.
Shit!
Quickly think, think!
I can't let them take her from me!Wilhemina has stepped back over the kitchen doorway, the officer closing the door behind them.
She pulls herself together quickly, pushing her glasses up and clearing her throat.
"Would you mind telling me why you're creeping about in my back garden in the middle of the afternoon?"
The officer scoffs, "I think you know why I'm here M'am.
I can't let anyone leave this property.
Where's (y/f/n)?"Wilhemina matches his scoff, "who?"
You've managed to make your way out the bedroom and through the living room - cleary un-noticed given the question the officer has just asked.
You lean up against the wall right next to the kitchen door, your heart pounding in your chest.
The officer is about to respond to Wilhemina, but suddenly his attention is directed elsewhere.
She stays perfectly still.
Is that you Princess?
The officer's eyes stay fixed straight ahead, one of his hands raising slowly.
"You must be (y/n)?
I need you to go ahead and put that gun down."
