My eyes glanced towards a familiar face. After a few seconds, which felt like minutes of standing there, memories started flooding into my blank mind. Could it possibly be the same stranger from the store, or was my mind playing tricks on me?
I studied the familiar looking stranger once again. He seemed like he was happy, talking to all the people ( I'm guessing his friends) around him. Was this really the same guy from the store who seemed dead scared when I talked to him?
My caravan of thoughts and questions were interrupted when a woman's voice called out."Medium Pumpkin Spice Latte!" The woman's voice shouted.
I blinked once. Twice. Thrice? And I was back to reality. Unfortunately It seemed I was standing there too long. As I sped away to get my order, The stranger looked at me. It was indeed the same guy from the store. I walked faster as I knew he had seen me.
I walked back around the corner and straight to the cashier."Here ya go sir! Enjoy!" The cashier said.
"Thank you!" I replied back and bowed.
I reached for the Medium-sized pumpkin spice latte of the counter. My bare hand grasped the warm cup. I slowly walked towards the exit and took a large gulp of the coffee I long awaited.
"Ahhh!" I exclaimed.
I pushed the door and made the trip back to my car. As I sat down in my car, I searched my pocket for the map of where the school was located at. I pulled from my pocket a piece of crumpled of paper with vague details of where the school was located.
"Oh well..." I said.
I pulled out of my parking space. Like a responsible driver, I looked at my rear mirror to check If anyone was in my way. There he was again, The same stranger. He was exiting the cafe with a group of friends, I assume. What was his name anyways? I remembered him telling me his name, but I can't remember the name exactly. I've always been bad with names, but I felt kinda guilty that I didn't remember his name. Ugh. But what bothered me more than not remembering his name was why I was wondering about him so much in the first place.
After a minute of silent driving I had an "Aha" moment. I pulled out the crumpled map and flipped it over. I had just remembered this was the guy from the store's supply list. Just like on an ordinary report card, on the top left corner read his information. The information listed was his address, rank, grade level, phone number, and his name. I quickly grabbed a pen from the glove compartment of my car and crossed out his address information, cause I'm not a creep. When I was stopped at a red light, I went on my phone and messaged the listed number.
