✨ Chapter 5 ✨

Friday Night:

Renee's POV

Today is the day, today is my date with Dean. I don't even know if I should consider this a date, I mean two friends going out to dinner isn't considered a date right?!? If I'm being honest, I would love to be more than friends with Dean, but I know that it will never happen, so I've just accepted the fact that we'll always just be friends and enjoy the time that we spend together. At about noon, I received this text from Dean:

Hey there Darlin', I can't wait to go out with you tonight! I was wondering if you might have a cute dress that you want to wear? I've got something planned that might require a little dressing up. See you tonight! Wait...is he considering this a date??

The closer it got to 7:00, the more nervous I got, but I didn't understand why, it's not like Dean and I haven't hung out before. The Bellas offered to help me get ready and I happily accepted their offer, because I had no idea what dress I was supposed to wear or how I should do my makeup. They convinced me to wear a red dress with some nude heals and then they did a simple makeup look for me that I thought looked super cute. I'll be honest, reading that Dean wanted me to dress up for dinner tonight caught me a little off guard, but I did it nonetheless.

"Dean is going to be absolutely speechless when he sees you, you look gorgeous!" Brie said

"Oh stop, he's not going to think anything of it, we're never going to be more than friends, no matter how much I want it to happen." I admitted. Nikki and Brie are the only 2 people in the entire world who know that I like Dean, and they better not tell anyone else.

*knock, knock*

"Well, it looks like it's time for you to go" Nikki said

As I opened the door, Dean's jaw dropped and he was speechless. Not going to lie, I'm pretty sure I blushed a little bit.

"Renee, you look gorgeous!" Dean said as I felt my face turn a deeper shade of red

"Thanks Dean, you don't look so bad yourself" I replied

After Dinner

Dinner was absolutely amazing, this is the best night I've had in awhile, but I'm afraid it may have done more harm than good because now my feelings for Dean have grown even stronger, and I don't know how much longer I can lie to myself and him about how I feel.  We just arrived back at the hotel, and I didn't want this night to end. As we arrived at my hotel room, we both stopped outside of my door.

"I had a great time tonight with you Darlin', I'm so glad we got to spend this time together" Dean said

"Me too Dean, dinner was amazing. I really wish you would have let me pay though, that meal was way too expensive for you to take the whole bill." I replied slightly angry at the fact that he argued with me about the bill at the end of the night

"There was absolutely no way I was letting my gorgeous date pay for anything tonight." Dean replied slightly smirking as I felt a blush surely appear on my cheeks

Before I knew it I saw Dean slowly start leaning in. Oh my God, is what I think is happening really happening right now?!? Without realizing it, I started leaning into him until our lips met. The sparks were undeniable and I was really hoping that I wasn't dreaming.

"Renee, I wasn't sure how or when I was going to do this, but would you be my girlfriend?" Dean asked, making me stunned

"Dean..."
