Chapter 2

Kai didn't even noticed the shimmer from the side and just threw himself on the couch. Not the comfiest place but it could suffice for now. As for the Beomgyu, he still hasn't moved from his spot, weary of the tiny twinkle of light he saw. His thoughts kept him glued to the floor, to afraid to move because something might happen.

The younger's snores pulled him out of his thoughts and made him finalize that he's just paranoid. After all, who else besides their company's best employees know their exact address. Feeling reassured, Beomgyu joins Kai and lies down on the opposite couch, falling asleep instantly. Sleep overcoming their hunger.

The shimmer from before turns red, different from the white it previously was. Ever so slowly, it moved towards the direction of the sleeping boys. The sound of multiple shutters are heard and like a snap of a finger the red light was gone. It's disappearance is followed by the eerie creaking of the floor under the pressure of a heavy man.

The man grabs his phone and goes to speed dial. The person at the other end answered and starts talking.

"Finished?"
"Sorta, where do you want the cam?"
"Somewhere in the living room, keep it as hidden as possible, don't want them making a fuss about intruders you know?"
"Last time that happened, I had a scar to remember it."
"Good thing I didn't have to bring it up. Now go do your task and leave the building."
"On it, see you back at base."

The intruder ends the call and looks around the homey but modern styled apartment. There were different potted plants but the colors were chromatic with a little bit of brown. It sounds bleh but it really is a beautiful home. After looking around and silently praising the decoration, the intruder decided to hide it in the massive plant near the door so that it covers the whole room. Satisfied with his work, he goes back to where he entered, the window. He was careful to not let any surveillance cameras catch him on tape or else he'd be in trouble.

As he landed and walked towards the sidewalk, he couldn't help but think how unfortunate this young man is. He just hopes that the boy will survive what's coming for him.
