"I now present you the graduating class of 2019!"

All I hear are the sounds of joy and happiness from my peers and empty promises of reunions. I see hats flying in the air, and people crying into other friends shoulders. However, I feel neither joy nor sadness. I feel the same as I did yesterday and the day before. Now don't get me wrong, gradauting college is an amazing feat that most don't accomplish, but I don't feel any different.

"OH MY GOSH ROSE! We're so proud of you darling." My mother comes up to me and hugs me, while my father stands behind her holding a bouquet of roses.

"Thanks mom and dad." I give them a tight-lipped smile and we walk towards the exit.

"Wait, Rose!!!" I turn around to see my best friend Karly yell at me with her cap in her hand and tear stains on her cheeks, " Do you want to celebrate tonight?" She asks.

"Depends, where are you going?"

"There's a new club across town, oh please come Rosie!" She begs with the pleading puppy dog eyes. She knows exactly how to get her away I'll give her that. I bite my lip and nod my head.

"I guess I'll go, but you can not get black out drunk." I say and she runs up to me and hugs me.

"Awesome! I'll pick you around 11."

"Okay- wait, what? Honey I'm in bed by 9:00. Who the heck goes out at 11?" She just giggles at me and pinches my cheeks. I swat her hands away, and she sighs.

"Rosie Posie, you old woman you! You would know that EVERYONE goes out after 11, if you ever went with us." She snaps at me giving me a pointed look. Well sorry, that I prefer netflix and popcorn over getting so drunk that I don't remember anything in the morning.

"Oh Rose, you're 22, not 16. Go out with your friends, better yet just go home with them now and we'll catch up with you later. Love you, we're so proud of you darling." My mother says and kisses my cheek, as well as my father. I watch them walk away with my mouth hanging open, did they really just leave me. I see my father pinch my mother's butt as they walk away and my mother kiss his ear. I scrunch my nose up in disgust, thinking that must be the reason they want me to go with Karly.

Karly claps her hands together, and squeals. "Great now we have the rest of the afternoon to go shopping for tonight." Karly grabs my hand and drags me out of the doors of the auditorium, all the while I am trying to find anyone to save me from this mad woman.

"Karly absoluetly not, if you think I am going in public looking like this than you have lost your mind!" We're currently in the dressing room in Dillards and Karly has me trying on dozens of dresses. And I mean DOZENS!

"Why not this dress it's the most modest one I picked out, and you look hot in it." She smiles at me and I roll my eyes. I'm about to smart off to her when her phones rings.
