MADISON - 20th January 2019 Not much has changed since I had gotten accepted into the show. I go to school like normal, come back to see my followers rise like crazy, fan edits made of us and multiple emails sent to us.
Today it was a Sunday, I'm going to the studio today to prep.
I woke up to the crazy beeping of my alarm at 7 am. First thing I did was get ready for a shower to wake me up in the morning. Usually, I'd check my social media for a while before getting up but I didn't want to be late.
I took a quick 5-minute shower with no shampoo. I wrapped a towel around myself and headed into my closet. I decided to wear a floral sports bra with grey trim, along with grey shorts.
I braided my hair and made a bun at the nape of my neck. I didn't put any makeup on since we weren't going to be filming today. I showered myself with hairspray and then gelled my flyaways to my head. When I was happy with what I had done I slipped a shirt with the words 'dance, sleep, eat, repeat' in big black bold writing.
I ran downstairs and realized that I had accidentally put to much stuff into my duffel bag so I took my extra pair of top and shorts out before carrying my bag downstairs.
"Hey, Mads." My mum greeted brushing my sister's hair into two braids.
My dad was at the table reading the newspaper.
"Hey, dad," I said sitting next to him at the dining table.
"Hey mads." He replied not raising an eye from the paper.
"So I'm really excited to start training!" I said enthusiastically trying to get his attention.
"That's great." He murmured clearly not listening.
The past couple of days he's been really distant. I looked at my mum and she looked mad.
I grabbed a granola bar and munched on it. Avery did the same and sat next to me. While I was at dance for the whole day she was going to be attending dance lessons to in a separate studio with all the other kids whose siblings were in dance class. She was dressed in a purple leotard with black trim. She had a purple headband on and her black Nike's.
"Are you excited for Mads Dad?" I heard Avery ask my dad.
He looked up and looked confused before answering. "Uh, yeah." I was hurt, did he not know how much this meant to me.
I filled up my drink bottle and put it into my bag. I was ready.
"Uh Girls, let's go." Mom said saving us from an awkward conversation.
