Blossom's eyes fluttered open to a bright afternoon light. She blinked rapidly, adjusting to the sudden brightness and shifted stiffly on her bed. Her head pounded distantly as if behind a closed door as she sat up, rubbing her fingers under her hair. She looked around and saw that her window was wide open, allowing a light breeze and the early afternoon light through. She moved her legs off her bed, stopping when she found herself in the clothes she wore yesterday. Frowning she recalled her conversation with Brick and his brothers before it suddenly went black.

The pounding ceased and Blossom released a light gasp. Flinging herself from her bed she quickly changed into a black pencil skirt and a Rose pink button up top that matched her eyes. She grabbed her wooden comb and gently softened her light orange hair. She left it down, her bangs gently resting against her forehead instead of being pulled back like usual and looked around for something. She walked to her closet and pulled out an old box from years ago. She dug through it, tossing away lies given to her before finding a small black bow that Berserk had given her for her fourteenth birthday.

Blossom knowledgeably clipped it to her hair, giving herself one final glance in the mirror before giving a big smile and leaving her room.

Blossom skipped down the stairs, past the kitchen where her family was sitting down for lunch.

"Blossom!" her mom called out, making Blossom halt in her step. She had to wipe a away all traces of disgust when she turned and smiled.

"Yes mom?" she said forcefully, hoping it didn't carry through. All heads turned to her and gaped, looking over her new look. Her mom narrowed her blue eyes slightly, visibly forcing a smile.

"Where are you going dear? Don't you want lunch?" she tempted, holding up her grilled cheese. Blossom's stomach clenched with hunger and she disguised the hungry grumble with a loud giggle.

"No thanks, mom. I have to go to meet Butch and Boomer to help me finish up this last piece of homework," she said with a small wave. Her father smile and resumed eating.

Through bites he murmured, "Just be home by six. We're having some guests over."

"Alright," Blossom waved, turning and slipping on her shoes. The door echoed as she closed it behind her and Berserk turned to look at her mother.

"Since when did she go to Butch and Boomer for help with homework?"

Blossom tried to keep her pace steady as she walked over the path to the boys' house. Her heart pounded as she imagined seeing them. Seeing them as she remembered them.

Blossom climbed up the steps and lightly racked her knuckles against the door. She waited silently for a few minutes until she heard the slight scrape of moving locks. The door opened and Blossom smiled, expecting to see Butch Boomer, or Brick. Her face fell slightly into a shocked look as she stared at the woman before her. It was the mom of that child from the park, slightly looking more tired now, but the same piercing green eyes and bold lipstick.

She looked at Blossom, scrutinizing her, before in a raspy voice asking, "no soliciting." The door started to close and Blossom snapped to her senses, stopping it with her foot.

"I'm not here to solicit," she said with a frown. "I'm Blossom U-Jerson! I live next door." When the woman showed no recognition she sighed and ducked her head. "I'm here to see Butch and Boomer."

The woman's intensiry seemed to lesson and she nodded, opening it for her. Blossom sighed and stepped through. Blossom had been to they boys house, many times, but their mom was always working. She'd never really met the woman.
