Hellooo, I have 2 things to say before you read my story. First one is that my writing might not be the best because English is not my first language as I'm from Sweden. If my grammar is incorrect I don't mind comments correcting me but no need to be rude about it. And second of all my story takes place in the US so everything I write might not match with what you know because I've only been there a couple of times. So comments about this I might not change in the story because then I'll have to think of something else and I'm lazy, heh. Okay that's all, thank you for reading!! :))

"Oh yeah right, as if you would ever take the initiative to talk to a hot guy," my best friend, Azalea told me. I scoffed at her comment and gazed at the hot guy leaning against the bar. His dark hair was messy and his arms flexed when he took a gulp of his beer.

"I never said I would, I just said that I could," I told her, not really making any sense in my own head and definitely not in hers.

"Well, I know you. You'd never go to him, he's too out of your league," she said and smirked. Love you too, bitch.

"He is not," I told her and jumped to my feet, ready to go say hello. Can I say hello? I really didn't know, would it be awkward if I just said hello? Or was I supposed to have some smart pickup line up my sleeve? God I'm overthinking this.

"He is not out of my league and I'm going to go talk to him," I said and took a few steps from our table. As my eyes drifted back to the hot guy at the bar my eyes locked with his green ones and immediately I felt my cheeks heat up. As quickly as I'd jumped up from my seat I was back there trying to hide my face. Coward.

"I really did think my reversed psychology would work on you this time," Azalea told me and shook her head.

"Well actually, I did too," I muttered, disappointed in myself.

"Oh well, looks like it worked on someone," she said and smirked. My head whipped to the side and I saw the guy heading towards where we sat. Oh no no no, I'm not ready.

"Well Maddie, I think I'm gonna get myself another drink," she told me and winked.

"No, don't leave me. No please don't leave me here, I'm gonna die!" I exclaimed. You drama queen, snap out of it. She raised her eyebrows, shook her head and headed for the bar.

"Well looks like this seat isn't taken anymore," a dark voice said from beside me. Oh my god that British accent could kill me right here on this spot.

"I.. well no. I mean hi. Please sit?" Oh my god you had one job. Thankfully he didn't leave the stuttering mess that was me and only chuckled at my response. My face must look like a tomato.

"Well then, love, I'll take a seat," he said and slid into the seat in front of mine. Well what now? Am I supposed to say something?

"You're even more awkward than I thought," he chuckled.

"No need to be rude," I huffed. My voice came out more confident than I felt and I was glad of that mercy. This really is not in my comfort zone, well why am I even stating the obvious?

"It talks!" He exclaimed. Wow, he's rude rude.

"I'm a woman not an object," I told him and raised my eyebrows.

"A woman with a name?" He asked. Smooth.

"Mhm," I said not wanting to give in so easily. My heart was racing and if someone looked closely I'd bet they see it winning against Usain Bolt. Wow even my thoughts are weird when I'm nervous.
