Temptation of the sea

You wouldn't know
The temptation of the sea unless you stay near it
The seducing sound of the waves crashing against the beach
The enchanted soothing view of the sea

They seduce you.
Draw you in as you step on the warm sand
When your feet sinks into the sand and the waves reaches for you
The inviting temptation

Like a siren
Tempting you to take a dip or a jump
Soft whisper asking you to take that leap
To just take a dip inside and let go of all the problems you have
The calming soothing view that pulls you in

And as your mind go blank, you just let go
Of the pain
Of the troubles in your heart and mind
And falls into the sea
Pulled by the waves
And for a moment you feel free
You feel safe

But suddenly you panicked.
You realized that
The sea isn't as calming as it seem
Or as soothing as you hoped for
You are pulled down into the sea
Air being hit out of your lungs
And oh how you wanted to escape
To leave the waters

As you desperately try to pull away to reach the surface
But you can't
For Water has entered your lungs.
The more you struggle,
The more you sink in deeper
And deeper
And that is when you realized.

Realized and remember that there are storms under the sea.
Your life flashes in front of your eyes
All the sufferings
All the pain
All the problems

You Stopped struggling
And remembered that you wanted to let go
You wanted to disappear
And suddenly death isn't that bad afterall
Suddenly the drowning seems to have saved you
Liberated you from all the things you are going through

So you gave up struggling and let the waves carried you.
Deep down to the sea
Disappearing from the world.
And for once you felt good

You felt free
You lost to the temptation of the sea
