Ariyah POV
"Jayde and Journie get up" I yelled from the bottom of the stair case. I waited until I heard footsteps moving. "OK, mommy", I heard Jayde yell back. As they were getting up and brushing their teeth. I was making sure that their clothes for daycare and school were ready. I had already made breakfast, so I went and made plates. "Mommy, Journie not getting up. She just looking at me". I sighed and went to go get Journie ready. I walked in her room and looked at her. She smirked at me and started laughing. I picked her up and gave her a bunch of kisses. Journie is my youngest, she is one, and she is the diva. "Why you always the difficult one?" I said to her. "MA MA MA" She yelled at me. I went and changed her diaper and wash her face. We did a quick brush of her teeth and started to dress her. I put her on a red 'IM A DIVA' shirt from children place. Some khaki shorts and her red 11's. I did her hair last night in two big puffs. All I had to do was add her bows. So, I added her some red and brown bows and fixed her edges. After that I went and put her in her hi-chair and gave her some toast, eggs and turkey bacon. Soon Jayde came down and I gave her plate to her. She was wearing her private school uniform. It was royal blue with her white Cambridge blouse and her black ballerina flats. Her hair was braided in Lemonade braids so that was taken care of.
"Mommy this is good". Jayde said to me. I went around the table and kissed her. "Thank you, baby girl,". She smiled and continued eating. I heard knocking on my door and went to see who it was. "Open the damn door RiRi". I rolled my eyes and opened it. "Damn, it is hot as hell and its only 7 in the morning." My cousin Alex said. She just came in and it when straight to the kitchen. "ALEX" I heard Jayde scream out. I just rolled my eyes. "So, you are taking them or Nene taking them?" I asked. "Both, I am taking the big kids and she is taking the babies. Oh, by the way you are taking them Thursday and Friday". She responded. "Deal, those are my on-call days any way. This weekend they are going to granny house." I told her. "Yea they want all the great-grandkids and I am not going to stop them. AD and I need a break." I just nodded my head. I really don't want them to go. I won't have anything to do but maybe I can get some work at the hospital done. I need my babies because I don't know what to do without them. I guess Alex must of saw my face. "Maybe you, me and Nene can go out and find you a new man." Alex said. I looked at her like she was crazy. "For one I don't need a new man. I am good on my own with my kids. I can't trust another man right now. Plus, it's only been 10 months since we separated." I said back with an attitude. "Don't catch a damn attitude with me. You were tired of that damn relationship with Mike. You told me damn near two years ago you were done. You decided to stay for the kids. So technically you been separated for almost 2 years now. Just think about it." She said. I nodded "Come on yall two give your mother a kiss and let's go" She told the kids. "Bye Mommy, I love you!" Jayde gave me a hug and a kiss. Journie looked at me and started to cry. I grabbed her and walked out my house to Nene car. She had a 2019 Lincoln Escalade ext. I put her in a car seat buckled her up and kissed her bye. "So, you not going to speak?" Nene said to me. I pointed the middle finger and closed the door. I went around the car and gave her youngest kids Promise and Maya a big kiss and hug. Then my poo stank Deshayla which is Alex youngest daughter a bunch of kisses. "You real petty Riri" She started laughing. "Girl fuck you. Yes, I am still mad that you didn't bring me any crab legs yesterday. Nor did you tell me you were making them." I responded. "They were good, too!" Alex just had to put her two-cents in. "Fuck the both of yall. Take my children to their destinations. Please and Thank you" I said with attitude. They both started laughing and drove off. I went in and started to get dress for work. I put on a dress from white house black market it was their in season color of turquoise. With a black blazer. With my nude red bottoms. Went in the bathroom and wet my hair and started to detangle this natural mess. Afterwards I took some ecostyler and combed it through to make some small twists. I grabbed my edge control and went to work on my edges. Once I was satisfied I applied my mascara on my extensions and grabbed my white Micheal Kors bag and keys. I went to my all white matte 20 G-wagon and left for work.
15 minutes later I was at work and walking into my office.
"DR. Jones we have a patient arriving in 5 minutes via ambulance. He has been shot 6 times. Don't know the location of each one. So far he is breathing and stable but he had lost a lot of blood." One of the nurses barged in. "Ok, prepare the surgery room. I will be there shortly" I responded calmly. She agreed and left. I sighed I didn't even finish my first cup of coffee. I called the anesthesiologist and told them the details and to meet me in surgery room 4. I got my self in order and as I was walking towards the surgery room I said a short prayer. "Lord bless my hands as I do your will. Let your will be done and if it is meant for him to live let him. Father God I ask that you give me, my nurses and my patient strength to do this. Amen" I completed my prayer as I walked through the door. He was prepped and ready. Now it was my turn to take over.
