Sehun age 21, Junmyeon age 29
The days passed, and it was suddenly the 23rd. Sehun had decided to wear a suit for once. He mostly only wore chinos and a button down to work. He decided to go with his black suit, he had a navy one too, but it was slightly too big now that he had lost a lot of weight. He didn't own any ties, so he thought a black button down might hide the fact that he didn't wear a tie. He styled his hair for what felt like an eternity. When he was done, he looked in the mirror.
"Damn, I look good" he mumbled to himself and looked at himself from another side. His mum still hadn't come home from her 'friend', so Sehun had the house to himself. He took the bus to where the party was located. It was located at one of the most expensive bars in Seoul, but he didn't have to pay since he was an employee. The bouncer checked his ID before letting him in. Since Sehun is over 19, he's allowed to drink. But if he had to be honest, alcohol tastes like crap. Sehun greeted people politely as he walked through the crowd. He spotted Minseok standing with a man with dark blonde hair. The man had his back towards Sehun, so he couldn't see his face. Sehun went up to them to greet Minseok.
"Good evening, Minseok hyung" greeted Sehun loudly since it was quite loud inside the bar.
"Good evening Sehun!" greeted Minseok enthusiastically. The blonde man turned around, revealing his face.
"Sehun?" asked the man confused and squinted slightly since it was quite dark.
"Oh, hello Luhan sunbae!" greeted Sehun in surprise.
"I thought I recognized your voice! How have you been?" asked Luhan with a big smile.
"Pretty good. What about you? How's the business going?" asked Sehun politely.
"The same as usual. I've gotten a few new employees though. Around your age, and from your college too" explained Luhan with a smile.
"What's their names? Maybe I know them"
"Kim Jongdae and Byun Baekhyun," said Luhan.
"Well, I know those two quite well!" said Sehun with a laugh, "They're my best friends!"
They chatted for a while before Sehun excused himself. He ordered a soda from the bartender, and he suddenly felt much too young for this party. He scanned the room, hoping to get a glimpse of Junmyeon. He eventually saw him. He was standing close to the DJ, surrounded by women. They were chatting happily, the women shamelessly flirting and touching his arms. Sehun scoffed and took a sip of his soda.
The night went by slowly, Sehun standing alone most of it. He contemplated drinking alcohol to get Junmyeon out of his head, but he didn't want to embarrass himself in front of his coworkers. So he decided against it. It was now 10 pm and Sehun was getting more and more depressed. Junmyeon was surrounded by new women all the time, even flirting back with them. But the ribbon tied around Sehun's pinky was still pink, which gave Sehun some hope. Suddenly, one of the women leaned up and kissed Junmyeon. Junmyeon was very obviously surprised, but he smiled down at her. Sehun was disgusted.
He walked out of the bar, not looking back once. His hand flew up to his mouth, trying to cover a sob. Once tears started streaming down his face, there was no stopping them. He desperately wiped them away, walking faster the further away he got. He reached a river. There was a wooden bridge which made it possible to cross it. The bridge was about as wide as a car and as long as two. It was beautifully lit by vintage-looking lights. The sight of it made Sehun cry even harder. It was one of the most romantic looking places he'd ever seen. He sniffled and walked up on the bridge, stopping on the middle of it. He let out a shaky breath and leaned against the railing. The river was mostly frozen, so it was completely quiet. Except for the crunch of feet in snow coming closer and closer to Sehun. But Sehun paid no mind to it, continuing to stare out over the river.
