The bell rang as the teacher ended the lecture. People around me began shuffling, racing out the door to go to lunch. I on the other hand slowly gathered my stuff, not wanting to get trampled by the other students.
Before I could fully walk out the door, I was stopped by the teachers voice. "Ms. Carrington, I just wanted to let you know about a writing program this summer" She paused before continuing.
"I see great potential in you and wanted to inform you of this opportunity. If you're interested." Her words surprised me. I had always been good with writing and I enjoyed being able to express myself in words.
I just never thought I would ever consider it as my future. "I'd like to think about it, if that's alright?" I answered as more like a question. She agreed and I bid her farewell before heading towards the cafe.
When I arrived, I found my friends already seated at our usual table. "Where have you been?" asked Marjory. "Mrs. Burns wanted to talk to me about something." I stated leaving out the part about the writing program.
We were all submerged in a conversation when my brother approached our table, the green-eyes boy following suit. "Just wanted to let you know that you're walking home after school. I have to stay behind" I nodded at my brother, trying to ignore the burning gaze of his best friend.
I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding when the both of them left our table. "My god, he is beautiful" gushed Caroline as the two hits walked away.
I rolled my eyes at her words as Marjorie and Toby chuckled. Caroline has always had a major crush on both Harry and Jared ever since we were younger. She swooned over them and was not afraid to let them know.
Time passed and before I knew it, lunch finally came to an end.
