What Will It Cost?

What will it cost me
For a moment of your time?
No one asks for
A penny for my thoughts.

What will it cost me
To speak my mind?
Curiosity compels me
But it killed the cat.

What will it cost me
To be more than a presence
When my two cents
Are not welcome currency?

What will it cost me
To unload my woes?
I'd pay you as much
As an arm and a leg.

What will it cost me
To know the probability
Of a blue moon to come
And bring me a platform?

What will it cost me
To find the silver lining?
To not be a listener
But finally to be heard.

What will it cost?
Me.
