She had the face of a warrior.
The scars of battle etched into her skin.
She was fierce.
No doubt, the queen of her realm.
She had the soul of a dragon.
Fire in her eyes. But she too was human.
There was porcelain beneath her scales.
Cracked, fractured, and chipped,
She broke from the inside out.
And no one ever knew. She carried the weight of the world on her shoulders.
The shoulders of a dragon, a queen, a warrior could withstand anything.
But beneath,
Slowly,
The porcelain cracked. She hid her pain behind the fire in her eyes,
The fierceness of her face,
The sharpness of her scales,
The glimmer of her crown. No one knew that she was dying
Until she was dead.
