"when you asked me to dinner, this wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but I gotta admit it's amusing to watch them." donghyuck said, laughing as he watched his friends' antics in the kitchen from his seat in the makeshift restaurant that sunwoo and their friends had made in jaemin's house.

"well, we're broke high school students and this was the best I could do." sunwoo grinned proudly. "roundup our friends to help make a realistic restaurant date at jaemin's place?" donghyuck asked,  raising an eyebrow, shaking his head when sunwoo simply nodded at him.

the older boy raised his hand, glancing at the kitchen as he called out for the waiter. moments later, eric had walked out in his waiter getup, complete with black dress pants and a white button down dress shirt to match.

"good evening, have you two already decided on your orders?" eric asked with a giggle, "I'll have the sweet and sour chicken combo with sprite." sunwoo said, glancing up at eric. the younger boy nodded, writing the order down on his notepad before turning to donghyuck. "and you sir?" the older boy made a face, laughing as he ordered, "general tao chicken with fried rice combo and cola."

eric nodded his head, writing it down before taking the menu's from both that were really take out menu's to Qian's, a restaurant just down the street. the brunet made his way back to the kitchen leaving the two alone.

"tell me, will all our future dates gonna be like this too? where you make a makeshift of some place?" donghyuck asked as he rested his arm on the table, his head on his palm. sunwoo raised an eyebrow as he leaned on the table to mimick the other, "there's gonna be more dates already? haven't even finished this one yet." he grinned a boxy grin, donghyuck shrugged, leaning back.

"possib-" he was cut off from the sound of a table being dragged into the room, the two boys turned their heads to see chaewon and shuhua bringing a table in not too far from their's, behind them was hyunjin, the boy carrying two chairs that were stacked in his arms.

"what are you guys doing?"

"what? you think you're the only ones that have date plans tonight?" chaewon said to the them, "we got the place booked. eunbin and siyeon are dining in the backyard, so are bomin and hyunjoon."

"and we have three more couples coming in, so go back to your little date." shuhua patted sunwoo's shoulder with a soft smile, "yeah, lucky you, having your date and i can't take renjun out here because he has to watch over jisung and felix in the kitchen." hyunjin puffed his cheeks, as he stared at the kitchen before running off to it.

"what is he—"renjun stop trying to—hyunjin control your boyfriend so i might still have mine!" eric cried out in panic, while jisung walked out of the kitchen, a stressed grin on his face as he made an announcement not to worry about whatever was going on.

donghyuck laughed loudly, typical, he thought, as wondered what exactly was going on in the kitchen, but it only made him laugh more at the possible scenarios running in his head.

sunwoo was quiet, staring at the laughing boy with a soft smile on his lips. he tuned out the bickering going on between the chefs in the kitchen, simply focusing on donghyuck, taking in all his features and how beautiful the boy looks. all smiley and bright, hazel brown eyes that have glimmer in them as he laughed, the way his cheeks were tinted red when his laughter slowly died down. he reached over the table, brushing away a lock of the younger's hair away from his face, he hair looked so adorably messy, all fluffed and soft.

"you're staring.." donghyuck mumbled when he had realized that sunwoo has been watching him the whole time, his cheeks became rosy again as he averted his eyes down at the table, fingers playing with the hem of the white table cloth.

"how can i not?" sunwoo mused quietly, holding his hand out to the other, who looked up to face him, hands dropping from the cloth before intertwining them with the older's. sunwoo smiles, gently rubbing his thumb over donghyuck's hand, it was quiet between them, save for the hushed conversations from the tables around them and the soft music playing in the back that sounds an awful like elevator music.

"you really didn't have to go through all this trouble for our first date." sunwoo shrugged, "i wanted to make a good impression, i didn't want to take you out for a movie, we wouldn't even be talking and that's a shitty first date. and you deserve something more than a quick drive through dinner at mcdonald's."

donghyuck grinned, giggling at the mention of one of his terrible blind dates he had a few months back. "when he picked me up, he was all dressed up and then we go to mcdonald's and hit the drive through!" sunwoo chuckled, listening as donghyuck began to animatedly tell him the story.

"—like if you're gonna ask me on a date, i expect you to pay because you did ask me o—"it's cute how you're holding hands but mind moving them so i can place your food down?" eric smirked, watching the pair heat up and pull their hands away to make room for their food. "okay, enjoy!" eric said cheerfully once their food had been placed.

the two began to dig into their food, sunwoo eating more than donghyuck who had resorted back to finishing his story.

"hey sunwoo?" the older hummed, in response, as he poked at the chicken on his plate, "for our next date, do you think you can make a movie theatre?"

"sure, what movie do you want to see?" he asked as he took a bite out of his food, "don't care, i just always wanted to make out in the backseat of the theatres." donghyuck said nonchalantly before dropping his chopsticks, eyes widening as he saw sunwoo choke on his food, face beat red when he recovered.
