I'll wait! Katsuki Bakugou x Reader

Besties!

The next day you went shopping with your dad for your school stuff and just a general daddy-daughter day. You didn't get them that often since he was always working so much to make sure you had a good life. The money was good as you had a very comfortable life, and if you could have been spoilt you could but you didn't want that.

Later that day you were sitting drinking a coffee when someone made you jump placing a hand on your shoulder.

 "Well hello again isn't this a surprise!" a woman's voice called out. Turning you saw the messy stylish hair of Mitsuki. She was extremely pretty and young-looking that you couldn't believe she had a son your age. Who at the time was stood there looking bored.

"Oh hello Mrs Bakugou right?" your dad smiled.

 "Oh please call me Mitsuki!" she smiled as your dad gestured for them to take a seat. They started talking about how proud they were of both their children, as you both sat there looking bored.

Deciding to get your phone out you started playing (game) as you felt someone looking over your shoulder.

 "Tch you're only on that level. What a loser!" you looked over to see you were very close to Katsuki's face.

 "Dude boundaries! I can smell your shitty breath!" you snap his breath didn't stink if anything he smelt like caramel.

"(f/n) Manners!" your dad yelled at you making you glare at him. 

"I'm sorry she can act a lot older than she actually is." he looked at the mother and son. 

"Nah he deserves it!" Mitsuki laughed.

 "Shut it you old hag!" Katsuki yelled right in your ear. 

"Well, that's great. I'm covered in your spit and I'm now deaf. Idiot!" you muttered. 

"Sorry." it was a whisper that you thought only you heard it, but his mum also heard making her smile.

"Well, I need a break after shopping with that brat! Be nice to have an adult conversation apart from my husband. You two go to the arcade for an hour or so." Mitsuki gave her son some money. You looked at your dad for help but as you never did anything with kids your age he wasn't on your side.

"Great idea! (f/n) could do with spending time with people her own age." he laughed as he passed you money.

"You're a traitor!" you mummer as you feel someone grab your wrist and pulled you up towards what must be the arcade as you look behind at your dad and Mitsuki with you glaring. 

"That daughter of yours has a real personality." Mitsuki smiled.

"Yeh, I'm sorry. She had to grow up when my wife passed away." Your dad apologised but Mitsuki laughed.

"No, I mean. Sorry, you misunderstood. My son can be a bit of a bully and she is the only one I've ever seen stand up to him!" Both adults laughed as they realised how perfect you were for each other.

Back with you "Dude seriously are you yandere or something because you're going to break my wrist." you pull your hand away. 

"Tch! Whatever! I just wanted away from the old hag." he snapped. 

"You know you shouldn't talk to your mum like that." you sounded a little sad. 

"Tch! She gives as good as she gets but I love her." he laughed quietly before pulling you to a game.

After the first initial awkwardness, you finally started to laugh and joke with each other. You spoke about as much as you could in an hour. Mostly about quirks he asked why you didn't want to be a hero but you said maybe another time you'll explain. You both really connected that day it was kind of like a little date but neither of you would admit it.

With the tickets from the games, he won you a little cat charm for your phone. "You didn't have to I could see you wanted that..." he cut you off by grabbing your phone and putting it on.

"See cute! Girls like cute crap right!" his voice was so husky and it made your cheeks blush as you walked towards the coffee shop, you also noticed him looking away with pink ears.

"Yeh thanks." you smiled before you were reunited with your parents. 

"So, the (l/n)'s are joining us for dinner next week on Leon's next day off!" Mitsuki was smiling as you both looked a little shocked. 

"Sounds cool! I'll bring a controller to play that game you were on about." you pouted. 

"Sure I'll beat your stupid ass!" he smirked.

 "I doubt it! Plus you're the idiot here!" you both laughed.

After that day you became really good friends going to each other's houses to play games and learn about hero stuff. You were actually surprised at how intelligent Katsuki was and he was amazed that a nerd like you was trained in hand-to-hand combat. Your dad asked you to act like a normal kid for the 6 weeks until you started U.A, so you spent it with the ash blonde.

You did, however, get a part-time job as a waitress at the same restaurant as Ash. He also became a good friend. He was the year above you but went to a different hero school Ketsubutsu Academy. You also spent some of the six weeks getting to know Mei a little better before school, she was as crazy as you remembered but that's what made her Mei.

Before you knew it the first day of school was here and Katsuki insisted on walking with you on the first day. You walked in silence as your phone buzzed stating you got a message.

Ash - Good luck today! Don't forget I will get u on a date at some point! 😘 xx

It made you laugh he had confessed he liked you but you told him you had to focus on your studies and even though you did have feelings for the black-haired and blue-eyed boy, you sort of had a little crush on the ash blonde. Not that you would ever admit it!

Katsuki saw you smiling at it out the corner of his eye he also saw the charm on your phone making him smile. He wouldn't admit it but he had fallen for you. The way your long (h/c) hair blew in the wind, the way your (e/c) sparkled when you had a new idea with whatever you were doing, the plumpness of your lips and the shape of your well-looked-after body. You were a beautiful girl after all you just kept to yourself normally.

"Who was that?" he sounded a little jealous making you smirk.

 "Ash why jealous?" you glance at him.

 "Tch! Why would I be jealous of an extra like that idiot!" he spat out. You decide to walk him to his door as you wanted a quick look at the hero students in there. As you got to the door he opened it and walked in.

"Laters stupid!" he smirked walking in when you remembered you had something for him.

You ran in after him "What are you following me for stupid?" he whispered like you were some kind of stalker. 

"Shut it, idiot! I forgot to give you this." you rolled your eyes grabbing his hand and placing something in it. "Good luck charm you dick head!" you yell running out the room as a few of the students look a little stunned at your comment to the ash blonde who was just smirking at your form leaving the room.

He also loved how you would talk back to him. Holding his hand open it had an envelope that had on the front:

 'For my idiot best friend on his first day! You're so hard to buy for. I had to make this myself, so you best not break it I will KILL YOU! Love your genius friend. x 

P.s don't pick on people make friends, even though they won't be as awesome as me.' 

He starts laughing as he pulls a little charm with a grenade on it with green, red and silver gems on it.

With that, you both started your time at U.A.
