Lina's POV:
Today is the first day of my Sophomore year & I am not excited one bit. People say that it's great & all, but to be honest I think they are wrong. The worst part about going into highschool is that you might lose all of your friends & that my friend, sucks. I lost, well I actually dropped all of my friends because they all were toxic & I couldn't stand it. They made my life completely worse & I wanted to make it better by dropping them. I am actually glad I did it because now my life has been going great! But let's hope I meet some true friends up in here. I start to go through my closet wondering what to wear & to be honest, I have no clue. I look outside to see how the weather is & by the looks of it, it's going to be hot outside. An idea pops inside my head & I finally have my outfit picked out. I put it on & I look in the mirror to see how it looks & it looks great! (The outfit in the picture is what i'm wearing.)

I grab my phone, car keys & I head out the door, but as I start to pull out of the drive way, I think about going to starbucks. I mean, school starts in an hour so why not? I drive to starbucks & I see that there is barely a line through the drive thru so I pull up & I hear a mans voice. "Welcome to Starbucks. How may I take your order?" He sounds like he needs a nap because he has an attitude & he needs to get that in check. "Uhm, hi. I would like a grande iced coffee with milk please?" He types that in & tells me the price. "Okay, that will be $2.65 at the first window." I pull up to the window & I hand the guy my money & it's the exact amount. He closes the window without even looking at me. Okay, I don't know what his problem is, but he better fix it or I will fix it for him. I head to the second window & a girl opens the window. "Here you are, a grande iced coffee with milk?" I look at her & smile. "Yes'm. Thank you." She smiles back & she doesn't look away. This is making me so uncomfortable especially when my car is a mess, lol. "My bad. It's just that you're very pretty. Have a good day, ma'am." I start to tear up a bit because I haven't gotten a compliment in years. "Awee, thanks. You have a good one, too." I pull out of starbucks & I make my way to school, ugh school. I legit don't want to go, but you know I have to & let's hope I meet some nice, cool, non-fake friends. I pull into the school parking lot & I see a lot of people making their way to the entrance. I get out of my car & I also, make my way to the entrance of the school & as I enter I notice a cute guy in the office. He must be new because I don't remember him from last year so. I head into the office & Mr. Jones looks up at me. "Ah, if it isn't Ms. Amor. How's your mom doing, Lina?" I look at him with a straight face. "Uhm, she's doing really good. Nothing new." He chuckles & he speaks to the new kid. "Legend, this is Lina. She's a Sophomore this year. I'm sure she wouldn't mind showing you around?" Lengend? Oh my god. That's a beautiful name for a guy like him. He turns around & looks at me & as he looks at me he smiles. At that moment, we both knew we were each other's first love.
