After we had our moment, we went out of the bathroom and back to a larger group of people. We ate and laughed and caught up with what each other had been up to for a couple of hours before everyone grew serious and said that we needed to leave and complete the last leg of the journey to the cabin.
However, one had left sooner because I had admitted that most of my personal mementos had been destroyed, including that "stupid" bunny that the said co-worker "hated" because I had taken the bunny with me on overnight missions.
Commander had said to let it be, so I did. He looked annoyed as well, and I was sure it was because he knew how much that bunny had meant to me.
Anyway, back to the last leg of the journey. I was still in the same van with Xavier and was curled up next to him. I had slept for a bit but woke up again due to this tension.
"Why is everyone so tense?" I asked, sitting up. I rubbed my eyes, groggily and yawned before laying my head on Xavier's shoulder.
"We're almost there," Commander said. He turned to look at me and smirked. "Had a nice nap?"
"Shush," I said, opening my eyes to glare at him. "This is still your fault."
He shrugged his shoulder and turned around. "At least you don't fall asleep while driving," he said, causing me to nod my head. "But, it was the only way to get you actually to fall asleep. How many times have you been up for the whole night and was exhausted and moody the next day?"
I shrugged. "It's too many to count," I said. "Before Dr. Trent helped, it was a lot in one week."
"I am glad that we have stopped that phase," Dr. Trent said. "I want to say that I am glad that you have stopped taking medication for your Wolf, but I am rather worried about that." He gave me a look when I turned around to look at him with an open mouth. "Now, I know what you are going to say, but I would rather not hear it. You not having a Wolf could be affecting you in ways that we have no idea if it is harmful or helpful. Even though, you do impress me with the fact that you are still alive today and training to get back to your full strength. However, you might not reach it because of you not having a Wolf."
"Oooh," May said. "Does that mean if I beat her in a fight, I can become an Alpha Beta Omega Gamma Delta Psi sooner?"
"No," Commander and I chorused.
"You two are so weird," May said, pouting. "But, we don't know what your full strength is at right now, and you are still healing."
"But, I am still a Pure Alpha," I said. "Remember?"
Justin coughed. "And a descendent from The Ten," he said, coughing again.
"Wait; what?" May asked, furrowing her brows in confusion. "Since when?"
"Since never," I said, giving Justin the stink eye and causing him to shrug. "Justin has it in his head that I am descended from them, even though there is no proof."
"Which one?" Sergio asked. He looked at me through the rearview mirror and mouthed 'Soothsayer,' causing me to frown.
"Uh, you are looking for which ones," Julian said. "They a-"
"Shut up," I warned.
"They are Ingford the Chosen and Fia the Kind." He gave me a look, causing me to groan and place my head on Xavier's shoulder.
"Who came up with this?" Commander asked.
"Justin," I said. "Justin came up with it while I was still healing."
"I didn't come up with it, Cassandra. I had a feeling that you were a descendant from them. It explains why my dad's command doesn't work on you," Justin said.
