What Are You Doing?

As soon as I saw Luke head towards us this afternoon after school, I knew I had to make a run for it. There was no way I would be able to keep my eyes of him and his delicious body. I walked home to an empty house and into the kitchen. There sat the note from my parents stating that they would be home late like the night before. I texted my mom and asked her what their plans were for tonight. She had texted back right away and said that they had a client dinner so I would be on my own for supper and that they would be home by 10 o'clock.

I went upstairs and started on my homework. I pulled out my book and homework that Luke assigned and laid on my bed to start it. I must have been so captivated by the book that the next time I look up the clock reads 7:30. I have been at this for three hours and I feel like I'm no farther than I was when I began.

I got up to put my things on my desk and walk downstairs when I heard my phone ping. I put my things down and walked over to pick it up and saw a text from Bella asking if Maybelle, Willow, and her could come over for a movie. I texted back right away and told her yes. I went downstairs to start the oven and threw a pizza in as it was heating up. After I threw the pizza in, I went back to my room and threw on my sweats and a t-shirt. As I was picking up my dirty clothes I notice a t-shirt that is not mine. I realized it was Luke's so I shoved it under my bed before one of the girls could see.

After I came out of the bathroom with a load of laundry in my hands, I could hear the doorbell ringing so I rushed to put the clothes in the washer and open the door for the girls. When I open the door I see it's not just Bella, Maybelle, and Willow but it's also Dallas, Charlene, Sarah, and cue eye roll, Isabelle. I invited them in but not before I shot Sarah a dirty look. They all got comfy on the couch while I went into the kitchen to check on the pizza, which was almost done. I just turned around to walk out when Sarah came barging in and apologizing for having to bring Isabelle.

"Listen Sarah, I know she's your cousin and you're obligated to take her with you basically everywhere you go. You're just lucky that you're my best friend and that's the only reason I'm not clawing her eyes out."

"She hasn't even been here a full week and she is driving me nuts, so when Bella mentioned coming over here I invited myself so I could talk to other people instead of her. She follows me around like a lost puppy."

"That sucks S, you know your welcome here anytime. Without her the better but if she has to come don't leave me alone with her because there is no promising what I'll do."

"Your amazing, now let's make this popcorn and take the pizza out so we can all pig out and watch the movie I brought with me."

"What movie did you bring?"

"How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days"

"My favorite, yay! Let's go."

After I cut the pizza up and we popped the popcorn, I brought cups and drinks in for everyone and Sarah popped the movie in.

After everyone left except Sarah and Isabelle, who were hanging on the couch watching a trashy reality show while I cleaned up. I heard a vehicle pull into the driveway and looked up to see that it was 10 o'clock. I really didn't think anything of it when I heard Isabelle get up and say she will get the door after the doorbell rang. I heard it open and slam shut thinking that it may be parents, so I started to do the dishes we left in the sink. After ten minutes of silence, I pulled my hands out of the water and dried them off to go see who was at the door.
