"what do you want on the pizza, bean?" quinn yelled from the kitchen to the dark haired girl sitting on the living room loveseat.

"pineapples, chicken, and bacon!" bean rambled on, counting the toppings on her fingers as she called them out. "oh, can you make it barbecue? and can y-"

"cheese is fine, thank you." quinn said into the phone, cutting the younger girl off. "delivery please. okay, thanks! bye."

she ended the phone call, slipping the device into her back pocket. she made her way into the living room, where bean sat with her arms crossed and eyebrows furrowed. quinn flashed her a smile before sitting on the loveseat beside her.

"you'll be okay." she said, placing her hand on her roommate's shoulder.

there was a pounding at the door so loud that it would've alarmed the girls if it weren't for them already knowing who it was.

bean jumped up from her seat and jogged to the front door.

"there better be a fire." she said after flinging the door open. "one day you're gonna knock the door down, liz."

"i can't help that i'm heavy handed." the petite, red headed girl said, stepping into the small apartment.

"where's alicia?" quinn asked with a cocked eyebrow as the girls entered the room.

"she has that three hour class at two now. but she'll be here soon, she just texted me." elizabeth informed her friend. her and her older sister, alicia, were almost inseparable, and were often referred to by the group as a "packaged deal". it was very uncommon to see the one without the other.

"vanessa just texted me too, she's on her way." bean stated. "i'll let them know the door is open."

after starting college, the five girls promised each other that every friday night, they would meet together and eat dinner as a group. they all wanted to maintain their close relationships despite their busy schedules, and friday evenings were the only time they were all available.

quinn, bean and elizabeth had been best friends since sixth grade. they were all assigned to the advanced math class, earning insults and ridicule from their classmates. but they stuck together through the bullying ; probably the only way the girls made it through those three years.

alicia always defended the girls when she could, earning the trust of her younger sister's friends and instilling fear into the other students. it eventually blossomed into a friendship between them all.

even after alicia left to begin high school while the girls were in eighth grade, everyone knew not to mess with the crew.

in high school the foursome met vanessa, a quiet yet blunt girl, who's personality was similar to quinn's, which sparked an almost immediate friendship.

there was another knock at the door, which bean again answered.

"pizza's here! slide him a tip, quinn!"

the oldest of the three rolled her eyes and grabbed her purse on the edge of the couch.

she tipped the delivery boy, and in exchange was handed the box.

the girls collected their plates from the kitchen, returning to the room where the pizza box lay on the floor. they all took a slice, and wasted no time digging in.

the alarm system went off, indicating someone had entered the apartment.

"i'm here!" alicia exclaimed, then followed the sound of the television the three sat in front of. she sat down on the floor beside her sister.
