The man ran his hand down the freshly painted wood. Although it was all dry, the structure still smelled of paint. Ivy had been carefully wound around the altar, with blue and red flowers intertwined with the thin vines. From there, he looked up to see the semicircle of mechanical beasts, which had been attentively positioned by himself and the other four paladins. He personally didn't care whether or not his wedding was perfect, but his friends had insisted that the lions were precisely placed. Perhaps they just hoped one thing would be perfect, as almost nothing had a splendid end with the five of them. Or six, he thought casting his gaze to the man approaching him.
"Nervous much, Lance?" The older man asked. Though, to be honest, Shiro was only thirty-three, a little more than seven years older than himself.
"A little, I'll admit," He replied with a shrug of his shoulders. Lance wasn't one to admit nervousness very often, but this was a time he'd be caught immediately if he lied. After all, who wouldn't be nervous on their wedding day? "I'm grateful that you could be here. I don't know what I would've done without my favorite 'Space Dad,'"

The white-haired man nodded in agreement, "I'm afraid we won't have enough cake,"
Although that was a small thought, not having enough cake wasn't a big concern on his list. After all, when Hunk said he'd make a lot of cake, he meant it.
The side doors of the large hall they'd rented swung open as three figures emerged from the building. They rushed to the altar, all practically crushing Lance with a massive dogpile hug. "Off- can't breathe!" he gasped.
One by one, the paladins got up, allowing the young groom to breathe once again. He stood up, brushing off his sapphire-blue suit. "Good to see you too," He commented grumpily. Or, as grumpily as he could at the time.
"Sorry," said the big man in a dandelion-yellow suit, "It's just so exciting! You're getting married!"
Married. A wave of realization hit Lance once again, like it had multiple times for the past few weeks. I'm getting married to the love of my life.
Before he could ponder the thought any longer, the large main doors to the hall swung open, and a flood of people swept forth. The ceremony would begin shortly…
