The Immortal Archenemies.

CLASH! Shing.
One diamond-headed sword, against one golden-headed axe.

BANG!
Wooden shield against tanned skin clenched as a fist.

This is an everlasting battle of strength and stamina. Steve raised his eyes slowly, menacingly to look at the empty white spaces of his foe. "You shall not rule the world no more in this dark terror."

Herobrine turned his gaze upon the courageously foolish being. This never ended, and he was growing weary with his vengeance, regretting the day he ever met the young boy. There was no emotion left within his soul that could save him now. It was too late. The world moved on, while he and his enemy continued to ignore the goings of a peaceful life. Their lives bound to each other, never to stop this war. "And yet, my old friend, I continue. You can not defeat me for any power that you possess, I possess also."
Steve smirked, an arrogant look appeared. "We shall see." 

And with a twist of his body; removing the shield from Herobrine's fist, propelling Herobrine to follow his fist towards the ground. Steve now stood behind Herobrine, glancing at the sky to see the shining rays of the morning sun. Dawn had approached, Steve was now able to see more clearly as his vision brightened, but it was too late when he struck Herobrine with his axe.

A crack of his neck showed that he was not dead. A gasp erupted from Steve as Herobrine stood slowly before turning. His eyes now shone brighter as he grabbed the axe and with such might broke the head into a thousand pieces so that it was left as a stick. With one swift movement, Steve was struck in the heart, dead instantly, unable to defend himself. Herobrine sighed as Steve disappeared from sight. "And so..."

A flash of bright lightening occured in the distance. A faint figure of a Steve fell to the ground. "It begins again." Herobrine spoke to himself as he too faded from sight, back to the depths of his home that he was to defend once again.
