The only wand with the skin of a basilisk is Salazar Slytherin's. Now I see why Draco reacted like that. I was about to get up and put the book back when an owl flew through a window. Not just some owl, but Errol, the family owl. Shit, Mum and Dad are coming in. But it's not a howler, probably because it would attract too much attention. Errol flew straight at me and I took the letter from him. I'm glad it's not a howler. Madam Pince would yell at me. She doesn't care if I'm only 4. I opened the letter and got into the panic. Mum had written the letter in red ink and that's a sign that she's serious. I read the letter with trembling hands.

What makes you think you can sneak on that train?! And now Dumbledore said you'd stay there till the holidays! I hope you regret it! When you are back home, you will be punished, you can count on that, miss! Take care of yourself anyway, little one. Promise me that. Stay with your brothers, they'll take care of you. If anything happens to you, you'll get in even more trouble, I promise you!

She's angry. Well, that's what I might have guessed. Despite the anger in her, she's still worried. That's Mum as she lives and breathes. But I love her for that. But I'm glad I still have time to figure out what kind of trouble I'm getting.

Fred's p.o.v.

I just had the last hour before lunch. However, I did not go to the Great Hall but to the Owl Tower. I really need to send this letter to Mum. When I was upstairs, I read it over to see if it was all right.

Hey, Mum,
Ron was sorted in Gryffindor but nothing else would have been possible. I don't want to talk about the bush. It's about Rose. You told us then that there was a spell on her that wouldn't disappear until she was at Hogwarts for a week. But now that she's here way too soon, I think maybe it's too early for her to know. But there's nothing we can do because the spell disappears by itself. And here comes my question: What should we tell her when she realizes that the spell is gone? Or do you come and talk to her yourself? Please reply as soon as possible.

Yeah, I think that's a good letter. I went to a schoolowl and gave her the letter. Then I watched her fly away and went to the Great Hall for lunch.
