Burodi and the other students entered the zen class room it had a painting of the Buddha on one of the walls. On the other walls of the dark class rooms were sayings from great zen instructors. The class room had little light it had two lamps on opposite sides. sitting on a ledge on one side of the room was sensei Tana. He told the students what zen was and what it means to learn about it. "Zen is mysterious art and deals with the inner soul and is very powerful if you can master the inner power of the soul." Then the time ran out and he dismissed the students.
