"Agent Red, do you copy? This is Director Fury. We need you downstairs. Over."
"I copy. Over." Red was my code name, since there was already another Agent Romanov.
I ran downstairs. I saw a mutiny raging in the bottom floor of our operations. My brother Eian was their leader.
I saw the fear in his eyes. He was no longer in control of his body. Somehow, I could telI he was fighting an alien force that was trying to take over his mind.
I took him by surprise, and knocked him out cold. I took out my gun and shot another mutineer. I hope he wasn't a friend of mine. I saw my mother and father, fighting. Their eyes were icy, they were ruthless.
"Mother? Father?"
They shot me a glance.
"Hannah, you aren't supposed to be here!" My mother called.
"Yeah, well I am!" I called back.
She shook her head, muttering, "teenage insolence."
Suddenly, black dots danced in my vision as I felt a heavy thud in the back of my neck. The last thing I remember was an ugly face leering at me.
Time skip:
"Director Fury! Mr. Fury!" I was the only one who called him that.
"Yes, Agent Red?"
"Did you call me in yesterday? I heard someone call me in, and I thought it was you," I panted.
"No, Hannah, did you hear my name?"
I could tell he was saying the truth. "There's something else I wanted to tell you. Eian was being controlled my an alien being. I could tell...somehow. I think it is the same being that was inside my father. Who was it that was controlling my father? Nobody's ever told me."
"It was Loki of Asgard inside your father, and I think this is him again. Would you ask your brother who was inside him once he recovers? You are the only one who will know if it is the truth, no one is foolish enough to tell you a lie."
"Yes, Director Fury." I replied. "Also, I want to ask you something. I told you that I could see that there was something inside of Eian, and I'm confused. How did I do it?" I asked.
He rubbed the back of his neck, sighing. "Before your mother gave birth to you, we tried some experiments on her to make you...different. Smarter. Well, you are. You have aced every test we gave you, learnt every language. You are also a weapon. Deadly, even at the young age of sixteen."
My mouth dropped open. "You mean to use me?" I asked indignantly. "I am a person, you know!"
"It was the counsil's decision, not mine." He rubbed his forehead wearily.
I sighed. "So all this time, I've been a government freak?" I asked weakly.
"Well, to put it in a rash way, yes. I'm sorry, I have to go."
