Dakota let's out a yell and hides under their sheets, dropping their game controller on the floor in the process. His heart beat like mad as he listened for another cra-

BOOM!! CRACK!!!

Dakota whimpers and tries to push the covers into his ears to block out the noise. He quickly grabs his phone without a second thought and calls Ethan.

"Hey, babe. .. You ok?"

Dakota was starting to cry over the phone.

"Please.. I.. I-I need you to come over..."

"I'll be over in five, ok?"

"Mhm.."

Ethan hangs up and Dakota shifts back under the covers. Another thunder crack is heard outside as rain pounds on Dakota's window and he yells, then covers his ears once again.

Around 4 minutes pass and they're a knock at the door. Dakota flings his blanket off and bolts downstairs, opening the door for Ethan to pull him in and slam it again. He held Ethan close like it was the last thing he'd do. "I'm sorry... I'm sorry I made you come all the way over here-" Ethan shushes him by kissing him softly, then pulling away to speak. "Its ok. Besides, it started raining over at my house too so I was planning on heading over."
Dakota insisted, "Well I know but-."

BOOM!

"AH!" Dakota hugs Ethan so tightly, you'd think he'd crush him, and hides his face in Ethan's shoulders.
Ethan hugs him back, "Its ok, lets go back upstairs." He walks with him up to the room and they sit on the bed and try to wait out the storm.
They talk about how their week was, what new books they should read, and watch some movies. Mama Mia of course, what else?

About two hours have passed and Dakota has calmed down by now. Now, the boys are cuddling and kissing like they won't see each other for a month. Dakota hugs Ethan tightly and kisses him softly again, "Thank you.." Ethan grins and teases him, "No problem, its my job to be there for you."
Dakota teases back and smirks, "Well, not all the time." He drags out his words and Ethan gives him a fake hurt expression, "What am I? A roach?!" Dakota chuckles and holds him close, kissing him again. "Not at all... you're like my human sized teddy bear~." He chuckles and Ethan laughs.

"I love you.."

Dakota smiles.

"I love you too.."
