I opened my eyes looking around I noticed I was in my room on my bed. rocking back and forth in her chair my mom looked at me with fiery in her eyes "m-mom I-" trying to speak but she suddenly cut me off "son why don't you just fight back".
She stood up out her chair then walked out closing the door behind her not giving me a chance to answer I gripped my sheets tightly with tears as cold as the rain coming down my face I felt horrible like I let the person who I wanted to impress the most down. "I'm tired of being this way! Everybody hates me because I can't live up to their expectations!" Yelling but no one answers.
Suddenly I hear a knocking sound I turned towards the window my eyes widen surprised I wiped away my tears got out of bed and opened the window "hey crybaby wassup" hoping through my window she smiled "shut up you bastard what do you want" I smirked. "Well your mom told me about your situation through the phone so I wanted to help" as she plopped down on my bed "what can you do to help me in this situation?" I asked leaning against the wall with my arms crossed.
she leaned forward with a promising proposal "let me train you" I responded with "Sorry I'ma have to pass you know I gave up that dream a long time ago" we both looked at each other glaring with high tension in the room. "Look at you covered In bruises you can't run forever" she stood up looking at me and said "you have so much potential but you rather waste it then use it" she walked towards the window opening it and jumped out of it.
I could still feel the pain in my aching body I wanted to change so bad then i looked at my heroes bracelet then realized what I couldn't see before I ran out my bedroom door and stopped when I reached the kitchen "mom" I called out she answered "yes son?" I stood up straight with determination in my eyes "what was my father like?"
She smiled " your father was a great man who earned the title of a "hero" during war a long time ago it was before you were even born he was fierce and feared nothing it was almost like he was excited to face someone stronger than him" she looked my way "son I know you have it in you to be strong you just gotta find that drive that'll push you beyond your limits whether you have powers or not I still believe in you".
My mother supported me even when I gave up on myself but I see now that my complaining and whinnying won't do a damn thing I wanted to keep trying to be a hero I never wanted to stop trying to reach my goal I wanted to make my mother proud because I'm all she got. I shook my head and ran to my room picked up my iPhone to call up Bridget but my phone started to rang with her number I answered "hello Bridget?"
"Nope not quite" it was Blair who answered the phone "if you want your precious girly back meet me at the bridge" the phone hung up I checked the time and it was midnight. "What am I going to do?"...
